Yip not thin muscles but shin muscles?
Lately Ive been trying to get into better shape, and when ive been walking hard, or especially up a hill the front of my shin aches so much Ive got to stop for a rest. What do you reckon, weak muscles?

    of course ya do haha

i'll bet you have weak glutes, that aren't working properly, which is causing major dysfunction.

but something to work on would be your dorsiflexors (the muscles that bring your toes towards your shins)

this is one exercise you want to do -

flex your toes towards your shins.

I've been having problems with really achey shins lately. I've really stepped up my work-outs though recently...they don't bother me any other time except during running or really major power-walking. I just hope this lets up soon because it's very irritating!
