I am very interested in this form of relaxation and also the politics surrounding it.
    Does anyone practise these techniques?
Can they give us some information...

I've not practiced this but I do know that the Chinese government is torturing and persecuting their own people because of their involvement with this practice. It's absolutely insane. Falun Gong is a peaceful. meditative physical practice. It is not a religion but does involve a certain level of spirituality. Somehow that evil government seems to feel threatened by this practice therefore people are dying because of it. It's a damn shame. Sorry... didn't mean to bring negativity into this thread, but since you brought it up I couldn't help but mention it... thought people should know. I hope you have fun with it though. Let us know what you think if you do do it and share what you learn about it. That'd be awesome.

Yes, I have had some information regarding the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China. It's got something to do with the numbers of people practising... like more people practise Falun Gong than there are members in the Government or something like that.

I've just found out where the nearest Falun Dafa group practise, so I'm going to give the group leader a call and head along. :)

heads up, I interviewed some practicioners here in Colorado and they were fairly difficult (despite the fact that they contacted me) and cagey about some details of FG itself.
VERY defensive, and not being open.
I asked about charges that the founder sees race as a ticket for admission to "heaven," (the darker you are, the less likely) and how the organization was funded... no good answers.

Yeah, since last posting. I have been led to think that maybe this is some dodgy cult and we're not getting the whole story.

I believe: Life is riddled with paradox. A major factor is where your heart is; in the sense of greatest significance it is the only factor, it is all of it. When I do what I call "a yoga" which is anything, everything, that I do there are benefits on many levels. If someone teaching manifests the "need" to "possess" or control another, even with an admission of such, no matter how sophisticated or in what form, then they are manifesting a pre-realization stage of a lesson of their own. When a group or anything else evokes an awareness, a feeling, do your "yogas"; feel and see.

Love You Nay and DM, and...,
