Traveling europe!

Does anbody here know of any cool hippyish places to visit there, ive been to amsterdam and it was so amazing that I think I must travel on to pastures new, any suggestions would be most appeciated

my name is Pieter and I live in Belgium, Here in Europe there is a great old hippie commune wich started in te late 60's or early 70's called CRISTIANIA
This place is in the center of Kopenhagen (capital denkmark). The people live there as free as they want and there's a great atmosphere of UNITY, PEACE, and lots of respect overf there. Now the governement want's to ivade it and close it up. If you are interested you should search in into google, i'm sure you'l get lots of information. If I was you I woudn't go there whit my videocamara and stuff, because you can have good conversations whit the people living there if they don't see you as a tourist. I've been there 2 months ago and I saw the commercialism killing the community. Still it is something you should have gone to if you have similar ideas. Anyway enjoy your trip in europe and if your in Belgium and have no sleeping place let me know!

I dont know, I feel like life at home is dragging me down with it at the moment...I need to get up and fly away somewhere more relaxed, ive researched the places you guys said and they all sound wonderful , now I just need to pick somewhere to go, wish me luck! xx

There's quite a few hippies here in Prague too

 

I wass arrested i christiania for smoking pot:/ i think christiania is a very commercial but nice place. you should try go to Thy-lejren. (thy-camp) on the other side of denmark, that is a real hippie community.

 

i dont think there's alot of hippies here in slovenia,are they any at all??to bad....

Go to a Rainbow gathering. Next summer the main European gathering is in Bosnia.
(last summer Yorkshire, I was there!) There are permanent communes at Beneficio, España, and one in Italia (can't recall exactly where, starts w/ a P)

 

Plenty of bands, rock bars and hippies here in Dublin. At least thats what the Catalan girl was saying to me in the pub the other night!
