Hello. When you take some acid, do you like to toke after? For example to 2 hours later, to "spike" the acid? Does anyone feel like they need to, for whatever reason? :saucer: I took another half tab of acid... I was watching movies and went to eat 3 hours later. After eating, I was organizing some music, then I decided to smoke, just a little. Haha. Well. I feel that it sure did spa-ike it. So then the question arose... if I wouldn't have toked a little, would I be feeling like this but without the weed part? Whoa. I dont know smoking weed is a habit for lots...kinda like cigarettes. Theres no acid trip without weed for me. More likely to smoke after the peak though, before is pretty useless and my mind just isnt in the mood . Already too high , ill let things go . Ive done it to calm myself though hah and it ended up makin it more intense and takin my breath away faster than it should have. Ill start smoking maybe 5 hours into it and get realllly crazy. Makes visuals go wilder but damn it gets so hard to have a quality insight ;p. My hair will get super messy and im tryin to explain shit with huge eyes and my hands on my head lol...But thats fun sometimes. But im not sure if i understand one of your questions...If you wouldnt have smoked would you be feeling like this but without the weed part??? well...Probably . Seems obvious on the obvious point of view, but maybe thats not what ya meant ;p
I usually have my bong on an acid trip if anything goes bad... It cheers a bad trip up for me and makes it a lot more intense (especially if it's sativa) by making colours brighter and visuals more complicated. For some people it can double the paranoia because both things could cause you to become paranoid. I also enjoy having a toke after the trip to try and go to sleep
lol, it's hard to explain. Boy was I flipping. I feel the acid now. The weed "part" is out. lol. For you, when do the visuals kick in? How much time after consumption of acid? I like the weed + acid feel, but I feel the acid shuts out the complete weed effect, which has in it's own way made weed lose it's "wonder". My last pure weed session confirmed this. Weed is special in it's own way... as I see it now, it's a tool for personal growth. Acid is just fun city, but in a special insightful way. Acid's length, intensity and resistance (weed effect is shorter and can be "interrupted" easily, or much more so than acid) surprise me and overwhelm weed's effect. I have to go now. Really? I've always felt the opposite. most people I've tripped with can't imagine doing acid without weed. it comnbines with the acid for a stronger effect, enhances the colors and makes for more smiles. helps ignite the trip if your dose is weak. also changes the direction of the trip away from the pschological / metaphysical stuff to more of a party drug. bottom line, if tripping for pleasure add weed, if you trip for more esoteric reasons skip the weed.
^^ yes yes it's fun city when weed is involved. I feel acid doesn't permit the weed to overcome it. I need to experiment and learn from this new substance, but with measure. Both times I've taken acid it has taught me things weed could never have been able to.
Acid has made me lose interest in weed, mainly because it's such a stronger experience and feeling, that getting high now just seems...makes me feel simply out of it. Weed as a tool for personal growth? Ha...maybe, but probably not. I view it more like a beer - something to do when you come home from workin all day, maybe just at the end of the week, something to kick back with and watch tv or read a bit of a book. Acid, on the other hand, if you ask the right questions you might be led towards useful answers. The way I've described the difference to my friends is that pot focuses your attention on one subject, points you down a narrow hallway at high speed...acid ramps up your attention, and enables you to think about many things at once, as well as the connections between those different things. For some reason, since my last trip I've been picturing an acid trip as a lot of different sized gears spinning wildly, very well put together and smooth.
yes, your views on acid conform to what I have learned, and my views on weed were prior to trying to acid... now, I start to feel the same way about weed as you have, something that has brought me mixed feelings, since I was a daily smoker. Smoking will now become something like taking a beer, as you put it, only funner I suppose. Right now life ain't to hot for me, and how I now feel for weed, something that I loved and cherished for the past year and a half, is not helping. Off topic. sorry.
Ya I have to blaze while on acid, usually just before I take it or come up. Without it LSD feels jagged like < that... but when I smoke and do it, its smoother, like ( that, a nice curve instead of jagged ups and downs.
yerh smoking definately takes you higher....but i like to smoke just before to get myself in a good vibe.
everytime i do acid without weed i trip but no where near as hard as if i had. that's why everytime i do it i smoke about an hour after taking my trip. this next part is quote directly from wiki... Other examples include the use of Cannabis with LSD, where the active chemicals in cannabis enhance the hallucinatory experience of LSD-use, reducing the risk of a "bad trip". i find that to be very true. also i get synesthesia when i mix weed and LSD so if you were to ask me there is no true acid trip without weed.
^ interesting.... because i find that i am FAR more likely to have a bad trip if i have smoked weed. because of this, i never smoke during my trip. sometimes i will at the very, very end, to help bring back the visuals, but for the most part i keep marijuana and acid separate. weed clouds my thinking and increases emotional instability, which is not something i need when i'm on a high dose of psychedelics. just LSD, on the other hand, is total bliss and beauty....
