what do you want to make them out of? the headbands that is ... i mean i know clothing is made of cloth.

i'm still hoping myself to get a sewing machine sometime in the not too distant future so i can get back to sewing and making clothes myself.

i'm going to be posting some hemp jewelry soon on E-bay in hopes of raising money to buy more hemp twine so i can earn a few more callouses on my index fingers. :)

yep on it already ... there was a 1920's Singer someone was giving away this week but they of course gave it to someone else. *sigh* i would post a wanted ad but there are WAY too many people that post wanted ads and don't offer things and i don't want to be yet another 'wanted' with nothing to offer.

Here's a nice website for making Hemp Jewelry.

Hemp can be somewhat hard to find in the UK, so your best bet is to order it specially at your nearest craft store; Ebay it; try some festivals; or you could use some other kind of twine as a substitute.

    hi :)

ill give you a little advice before i head off to the land of nod :)

headbands you can make out of pretty much anything. if you use a non stretch fabric, you will need to use a little more fabric and use elastic in it. but equally, you can use a stretch fabric and not use elastic. stretch fabric may wear a little more though. as with all elasticated products, the more often they are stretched the more they wear. best bet, when making things, is to go to shops and see how other people have made them.

also the fashion and crafts forum on the main hipforums board is brimming with advice and helpful souls :)

i have made headbands out of fleece, spandex (stretch/lycra) in the past. but have cotton headbands ive bought which just have elastic around the back.

    best wishes
