Old Crone, hope you don't mind...

Old Crone,
I keep seeing people asking you things and I thought it might be helpful to me, so I hope you don't mind. My fiance and I are in the middle of making the biggest decisions of our lives involving getting married and starting a family. I am beginning to see the right direction and now I am looking for signs in my life to help lead me the right way. I'm hoping you'll have some clues for me.

You remind me of the time my daughter was freaking out about not getting any direction from god in her prayers. Her SAT's were coming up and she wanted so much to know what she would get. Her boy friend at the time was not overly concerned knowing that all things work together if we try. Sometimes with great suprises, but in the end the sychronicity enlightens the adventure.

About a week of my daughters constant fears, and questions, and her boy friend decided to take her hiking. He came back a couple of hours later, and my daughter was not with him. I asked where she was, and he smiled and said..."Still looking for signs I guess." I went out side and in the back seat of his car lay all these sign post.

My daughter comes in the drive way furious. She screamed and yelled. The police pulled in behind her, and the signs and 150.00 dollars later paid to a work crew, were put back where they had been in the first place.

We sat down to talk, and when my daughter started in about wanting a sign from god we all listened. Then very faintly we heard. "Hello, I am GOD. You will fail your SAT;s and become a cat." My daughter stopped speaking, and asked me if god could turn a person into a cat. I replied only with their mothers permission on a good day when rain is not far away.

Everthing grew still, and then my daughter stood up, and asked if we could go out for supper. I asked what about GOD, SAT" and signs along the way, and boy friends that drove you crazy at times. She smiled, and said, " I will become my own GOD and F)_(* the signs and the boyfriends, and mothers who think they can convince god to turn their children into cats." We all laughed. God came out of the closet looking a bit like our neighbor kid. My daughter passed her SAT's she broke up with her boy friend because they were going in different directions in life, with no common ground, or agreement. and I learned god does not listen to mothers who would try to turn their daughters into cats.

We went out for Pizza.

Whats this got to do with you. You make your own signs. You make your own choices. You only have this minute to be all you ever wnated to be. Relationships are not forever, but commitments can make you your own god, or devil. When we get attached emotionally so we loose the trees for the forest, and signs end up in the back seat of a car we will never understand why god speaks from a closet.

But when we follow our hearts, be true to ourselves, and find our wholeness inside then we can enjoy the pizza from which life is often made from.

Love is a choice to embrace the steps you take wheater you walk side by side with someone, or alone. You are only the love, and wisdom from which you find within yourself. In this you can hold on to the doubts, fears, and questions...or you can embrace with an open hand the simple choice to share these moments. You are both your own creators. In this you will change many times, and in a million different ways. Trust in your own wholeness, and what it means to be true to yourself. Desire this above all else for you, and your mate as well, Lie not to each other for what you think they want to hear, and let the signs, and roads take you far, and back home once again. Their is a cost to all things, and choices made. Love when pure, and whole will go the distance. Love made from doubts and fears will not walk long beside you.

The answers then lay not in signs, and wonders but within the choices made from a heart that is true, and whole in spirit body, and soul.
