people, that thing makes me feel really not me.please, post everything that can help!
it started about 2 years ago.My hair started to fall just over the front.I tried to wash it with better shampoo, tried some herbal recipes but it didn't help.I made some blood tests, consultations and I had less progesteron that I had to and the doctor told me that I have to take hormonal pills for 6 months.I didn't want to, cause I can get fat very easily and I can't control my weight often.today i talked with my personal doctor and she told me that I shouldn't worry about that , so I'll buy the pills.however, for this years my problem started to become very serious and visible:(I'm not sure that this will help, so even if I take the pills, I want very much that you propose me some other stuff that can improove my hair condition.you know, I'm only 18, it's so ugly for a young girl to have a hairloss.and I've never dyed my hair even:(

My first suspicion is hormone shock. what's up with your hormones? Did you have bloodwork done at several different points in your cycle? If not, don't take meds until you do and know what exactly the problem is. If your doc isn't with it, find another one. Were you recently on birth control, have a miscarriage, or something else that might be throwing your hormones out of whack? Does it look thin, can you see scalp through your hair, or is just lots falling out in the shower?

If it's not hormonal (and the bloodwork would tell you if it is), then it's likely stress-related. There are other possibilities, but hormones and stress are the two most common reasons for young women to lose hair.

It could be an allergy to whatever products you are using on your head, shampoo, hairspray, other weird chemicals. Perms are known to do this to particularly sensitive people. It could even be a food allergy, but I would think you'd have other symptoms of it if that were the case.

As my sis above says, if it is not hormonal then it is probably stress related.

If you can find someone who does indian head massage then give this a go. Apart from being incredibly relaxing, it also stimulates the lymphatic system and encourages blood supply to the thin layer of muscle which covers the scalp. This in turn can stimulate hair growth.

If it is stress related, then the first thing you have to do is stop worrying. Easier said than done isn't it? Try some meditation or try meditative Symbol Therapy.

    thank you!
I made a blood test for hormons, and I got a lack of progesteron.not a big one, but the medecines that I have to take are some kind of contraception that can work to regulate hormons.I already consulted a doctor and she told me that there won't be bad effects on my weight, and if something goes wrong, I can contact her again.
on the other side, it's not just a hairloss when I comb my hair.it's just on one place, and I can see my scalp.I'm worrying if it's not allergic.I use a very clean shampoo, but before, I had scratchs because of the shampoos I used.now it started to calm down, but very slowly.
on the otherside, I got exams this year.I'm quite busy and I worry aboutlots of things.this problem started lots oftime ago, so I don't thing that's the problem, but ....still it's possible.
about indian massage..I live in Bulgaria, not a lot of people that can do that kind of massage here:(
what's that kind of meditation?can you give me a link or explain to me something more about that?

so you have a patch of loss, or the loss is noticeable there?

when the hairs fall, is the root (a white nub) on the hair or is the hair breaking?

and most importantly, do you have "fuzzies" which are new growth in the bald patch?

one blood test isn't enough to diagnose hormone issues, because women's hormones change during their cycle. Usually it takes at least two or three tests, one at the beginning of your menstrual cycle, and another after you ovulate, usually another right before you expect your period. Oral contraceptives can cause hair loss, just so you know.

Symbol Therapy was developed by a therapist called Ulli Springett. She has written a book about it which is really easy to read and follow, especially if you are an old hand at meditation. If not, she really helps you through. I suggest you put her name in a search engine.

You can actually massage your head yourself! Think of how you shampoo your hair...use a vegetable oil instead and use some essential oils in the veg oil. I would suggest Lavender (to relax you) and a gentle citrus like tangerine or mandarin (these encourage blood circulation to the dermal and epidermal layers of the skin.) The dilution ratio is 5mls veg oil to 3 drops essential oil. Massage your head gently using this oil blend, as if you were shampooing it. Leave the oils in your hair overnight and wash in the morning using an olive oil soap - this is about as pure a soap as you will get. Try to avoid chemicals.

Let me know how you get on.

the loss is noticeable, it falls from the root, and sometimes I got fuzzies, but they fall sometimes too.
I'm terribly sorry to say that, but I can't make more blood tests. It's so expensive.I know I need to make them, but I have no money.I could save them later.I hope so.
If I shave my head frequently for a month, will it have some results?I'll miss the rest of my hair, but if it can help I'll do it.
