i remember seeing this video not that long ago, and it touched me. i think its really sad. celebs should stop being so selfious and helping people that really need it. i think its terrible that people have to suffer like that.. i really want to go to those countries and help those poor people out.
yah sister...me 2, theres so much waste and surplus in countries like america..while some people throw there food in the trash, others have to starveto death, its fucked up...
i know.. it makes me so sad, i want to do things to help. when i get older i think i'm going to try and help out these people.
I couldn't agree with you more, hippieatheart. I can't understand why people are like that. What happened to love, peace and compassion, not to mention helping all the people in the world who are not as fortunate as we are? I think more people should think about what they do have and then think about what people in impoverished areas do NOT have. When I was in high school, instead of paying my library obligation fines with money I would bring in nonperishable canned food that would be donated to impoverished people. That was a kind gesture that my high school did. They actually made a difference by letting us kids bring in food for the needy. I think more people should go to these needy areas and help the adults and children who need the love and compassion from people who care. I hope one day soon I can help make the world a better place by visiting these people and helping them. Peace out!
i agree with you. i really want to help these people, but i have no idea how i could start doing so.. do you have any idea how i can get involved?
this is all a superficial attack... celebritities are not the cause of the world's problems... this is a stupid not well thought out idea... we all together can heal the world but blaming others is not the solution
maybe you should stop being so sellfish and help people that need it... and me too, maybe i should stop sellfish and help people its so easy to point a finger at another person and say they are the problem
agree, america has to consume less... and be responsible... but sarah mcglaughlin is not the problem... btw, the sound on my computer is broke so i have no idea what she is singing about and so all opinions being typed here are open to revision
theres shit like the peace corps...but i think its better to help on an individual level...first step would b to travel to those places, then just help wherever needs helping...help carry water, help build a house, that kinda shit
thanks wootier. i would really like to do that. i can't yet though because i gotta get through college and stuff first. but maybe over the summer or something i can get involved. i can't wait
molly, whose blaming celebrities, okay maybe sarah mclausumtin is but its obviously not just them....i mean, we all waste alot, but the rich waste millions... theres alot of stuff u can get involved in over here, i mean, collecting money is good, or helping out the poor home bums in ure own town..im sure wherever ure gunna b going to college has mad home bums that could use a hand every once in a while... maybe start a collection for the homeless, and then at the end of the day go around and hand it out... people r weird wen it comes to helping out an actual person, but if they think u r part of an organization they will gladly help
people put their money in all the wrong places. sadly, i am on of those people that does. watching things like this reminds me that im wasteful and should help people more. this makes me grateful that i have so much and makes me sad that some people have so little.
well if you wast it it's been yours and no one was gonna get it, if you don't it still IS yours and no one is gonna get it ... so the great human race just realised they should give the beggar thier old jacets .... I'm keeping mine it aint gonna fix anything ... this world is doomed to it's self distruction, too much wrong there i guess, it's never been a good place and it's not gonna be any better if you could survive do it I don't care who else dies cuz theyt too wont care ... very human ... very happy ... good and reasonable ... alright dont shoot I'm on your side !!!
ure entitled to do wat u want with wat uve got...but ive been helped out, and why shouldnt i help someone out...perhaps the world is doomed, but if u can make one persons life better for just one day, uve done a whole lotta good...fuck saving the world, i just wanna save one... i care if ure unhappy man, and if u dont care about me, im cool with that, thinking the world doesnt care about, and not caring about the world, theres the bloody problem, we need to b there for eachother..and then this world wont b doomed
what i didn't like about this video is it didn't account for economies of scale... sure folks spend all this money to make a video or to cater an event but spending money for those things gives people jobs ... a trickle down effect just going to poor countries and giving them things is only a short term solution what needs to be done is to reestablishing for them an economy so that they may be self sufficient in the global economy... education... all that stuff through my church (episcopalian) we sponser a sister parish in africa where we provide education and as well, do fund raising for heifer international i strongly recomend heifer international to all you kids who think you can't make a difference until you're older cuz that is so not true
Come now Chief, you can't blame the people who have good intentions, yet they are slightly naive to the facts. It's almost as if you're telling them that thier intentions arn't good enough. Any good deed is a good deed, no matter how much of a good thing it is. In other words: Every little helps.
