The Electric Prunes and although his music isn't exactly psychadelic, I'd recommend David Axelrod. His late 60's early 70's stuff was sublime
Eletric Prunes...that is a good one.... I also recommend classical music....Vivaldi's Four Seasons is great high
check out wolfgangs vault....a bunch of live concerts (the whole concerts) from just about anyone you want to hear....great old school psychedelic in its live format....
Grateful dead, TOOL, syd barret, bob dylan, john coltrain, miles davis, joan baez, otis redding, janis joplin, genisis, doors, jefferson airplane
I checked out Boogie Matrix Mecanism... I like the guitar I also see they have a touch of psichadellic to them but it is too evident that they are modern I can almost hear some red hot chili pepers in them (vocals) so they are not for me.... I like the real old stuff.. Led Zeppelin, The Doord (saw them in 2004) Grateful dead etc...
its my brothers band and they have a great pyschedelic feeling to them. i've known the best since they were nothing to them releasing their cd. its just great to hear the transition. you might like some of the other songs that aren't on the website because those just happened to be the lead singers pick and not the band pick. the guitarist, johnny k, is a wonderful musician! he makes me trip so fucking hard when I listen to their music. thanks for checkin it out though!
Hey Earthmama talking about bands.. a band which is still touring and recording is Blues Traveler you should check out the cd Live from the fall... its a live album and EXTREMELY trippy, there studio stuff is also great but a lot more "behaved" if you know what i mean. bye !
No I just looked them up but they do not have music in Myspace.com but you can easily download material on emule.com Good luck !!
amazing bands to listen to: Shpongle, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Kuba, Hallucinogen.. a little different from other styles of music ive been seeing on this thread, but i love em
I also like hawkwind... used to put it on at night it helps me relax and sleep !! Live material from The Doors getts me very high.. especially a 14 min version of light my fire !!
My favorites are. Steppenwolf: Magic Carpet Ride The Who: Magic Bus Blood Sweat & Tears: Spinning Wheel Iron Butterfly: In a Godda Da Vida Pink Floyd: Brain Damage These are the most trippy songs Ive heard. I also like Music from the Doors and The Beatles.
i think my favorites to listen to while trippin or high is the doors and pink floyd. their music just puts me in a different state of mind, cause a lot of their songs are so long, and the music just seems to go on forever. i love it
13th floor elevators, jefferson airplane, cream, hendrixravi shankar(maybe not classified as psychedellic but...i think it totally is)
The tracklist to my favorite and most-used mixed CD for when getting blazed: Within You, Without You (Instrumental)..........The Beatles Pali Gap..........................................................Jimi Hendrix Little Wing (Demo)..........................................Jimi Hendrix Black Mountain Side........................................Led Zeppelin The End...........................................................The Doors Tomorrow Never Knows.................................The Beatles Love You To.........................................TheBeatles Hats Off to (Roy) Harper..................................Led Zeppelin As You Said....................................................Cream Country Blues...................................................Jimi Hendrix White Rabbit....................................................Jefferson Airplane O Relógio.........................................................Os Mutantes If......................................................................Pink Floyd Magic Carpet Ride...........................................Steppenwolf
