Their Lawyers are trying to get our house, that we own, off us because of a gift that a relative made that went to pay for 1/4 of our house mortgage. They claim it was an investment not a gift. They should just fuck off and die - our relative already left the church about £50,000 and now those arseholes want more. They will never get that money I'm moving it out of the country. Its not like they actually use the money to do anything but make the church wealthier. When is the catholic church going to sell its VAST amount of art treasures and cash in on its land investments in all the major cities to solve poverty or do anything besides sit on its sanctimonious arse while sucking capitalist dick? WTF is the catholic chuch doing with these billions (maybe trillions) of dollars?
I'm sorry you're in such a bind, sentient. It really sucks that they're trying to take you for broke... These particular individuals representing the Catholic Church don't seem to be acting in a very Christian manner, all things that you've told us considered. My heart goes out to you, brother. Don't forget, though, that these people don't represent all of the Catholic Church. There are some good missionaries and priests out there who do honor their vows of poverty. I'm not Catholic, but I am a Christian (abeit a poor one), and I can't ignore the good things they are taking part in, as much as I'm not keen on how they run things.
