1.) Is math natural or is it something man made? I know there are patterns and things in nature but is the majority of math man-made? 2.) Is there something that controls or knows what we do? Does someone or something know exactly what I am going to type or is it just me? If there is not something that knows then why am I typing this? Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
1) Math is man made. Is a concept and way of looking and explaining things that we interpret, as well as keeping track of things that go on around us. 2) What the fuck.
1- We interpret the basics of math to build new concepts, but all of those basics come from nature. If it wasn't all there to begin with, we wouldn't know it existed, would have no concept of it, and therefore wouldn't be able to use it. 2- If there's a god, I suppose he/she knows everything I'm going to do because my life would be pre-decided. I have choices, but the higher power is aware of all possible outcomes, which means I have a 'known' fate regardless of which choice I make. If there is no god, then there's absolutely nothing there to know what I'm doing/control what I'm doing.
i agree with your "IF there´s a god..." statement. so let´s say there IS... does your life or any other life need to be pre-determinded? to me, that doesnt seem like the only option, if anything at all. it makes more sense that life is just life, and it´ll endlessly begin and end. to think in terms of ourselves and one or two lifetimes, that´s relatively small compared to life in general. our lives dont necessarily mean that much. of course, they DO on certain levels, but in the grand scheme of things, we´re just part of this eternal fleeting moment. no more important than anything else that has ever existed. i dont really think any sort of outside awareness or consciousness is needed in order for us (humans) to be aware/conscious ourselves. WE ARE the consciousness that is aware of itself. to me, that is enough. i acknowledge that there is a lot more going on, but i certainly do not think of it as "god" - just the natural process at work (this really doesnt sum up what i believe. it´s a convienent way to end my thought put THAT in your pipe and smoke it.
1. Math is natural and universal. Patterns exist everywhere but somtimes are very complex. The depths of space can be explored with math on earth. Math has tons of posibilities, probably one of the most important sciences.
