what is with all the hate?
it was the absolute perfect continuation of Clerks
-same basic style of humor as in the first
-readdressed the original themes and issues
-concluded the story in a logical and suiting way

people also bitch about it being more mainstream
    no.
    it's more fluid, that's all
it still has the whole pop culture nerd element to it, it's just done in a much less evasive way, I don't see anything so wrong about that

I see it as the good ending that Kevin Smoth could never pull off with Clerks.

    discuss.

I agree with everything you said, I don't see why people who liked Clerks don't like Clerks II.

I like Clerks 2. I think they have the same quality as the first movie.

I especially like the Star Wars - Lord of the Rings confontation :)

Yea its not like they broke out into song and dance...

Its not like Kevin Smith got softer...

The original clerks was more then just a comedy, it brought attention to the independent film making scene, it was some good friends with a camera filming conversations they probobly have all the time with a plot thrown in just so it has somewhat of a normal narrative.

If the movie was released 10 years ago as a direct sequel to Clerks im sure it wouldve been more well recieved by fans, Kevin Smiths humor is getting old, this movie suffered the same way Jay and Bob did, its a college frat boy movie.
