boobs can't be engorged if your milk has dried up. I'd just keep lansinoh on them. Not much else I can say to help. *hugs*

Definitely use lanolin. Also try to air them out. Go bra-free for a bit. If you do wear a bra make sure it's cotton.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you wean?

Weanings not necessary in pregnancy unless pre-term labour is a huge concern.

cracked nipples could be thrush... I wouldn't use lansinoh unless you are sure they are just dry and chapped. You want to let them air out as much as possible, don't wear a bra too often or too long. Don't wash them with soap.

I continued to nurse Jenny through my pregnancy, and beyond, but it was rough. I can understand not wanting to do that. But a history of preterm labor isn't even reason enough not to nurse. If you are okay to orgasm (it's more likely to cause uterine contractions), you are okay to nurse during pregnancy.

umm... don't use lansinoh if you have ever had a reaction to wool! I found that out the hard way!

the reason i weaned aiden was cuz i was getting very uncomfortable and having him nurse started hurting me. plus i thought it was high time to wean him anyways.

when i stopped nursing my middle kid (who has since relactated), i'd been nursing straight for 41 months, my nipples cracked and peeled, then seemed to heal on their own. i was also pg at the time. i bet if you leave them be they'll heal just fine
