chicago is amazing, have you all checked out belmont and clark? or the old town school of folk music? never discount milwaukee as a locale for awesomeness, its really just a satellite of chicago anyway. evanston is one of my favorite burbs (probably cause i lived there for half my life), check it out. and of course the shows, theres so many! ratdog, panic, and OAR in milwaukee next weekend, stoopid on the first in waukee, on the the third here, zilla, moe, mmsw, umphreys for new years. check out jambase. but anyway, chicago is great, theres no shortage of shit to do in the city.
Aw of course! Bellmont and Clark is one of my favorite places to go living in the city. Whether it be the head shops or the fine exotic food and hookah bars. I don't get up there enough and its only a fifteen minute ride on the redline.
chicago chicago, my kind of town! yep yep i be livin in the SOOOOUTHSIDE of chicago. near us cellular field.
belmont and clark is alright, great for head shops, but wicker park is the best part of chicago. go to kinetic playground for good live music.
Belmont and Clark is full of overpriced stupid shops with douche bags that have overblown egos. drift half a mile away for wreckless records.
nope i wasnt at kinetic for that, i haven't been there in about a month because im addicted to going to marshall mcgearty's in wicker park. if you love crazy cigarettes and board games, go there.
yep, i havent heard of that place. i agree about belmont and clark. the only reason i go there is for novelties and stuff. the alley sucks what part do you live in?
Yea the Alley has some sick horror movie tshirts, but I can never see myself spending that much money on a freaking shirt. I'm from the burbs, reppin Skokie.
Try being stranded in Glencoe on a Sunday night waiting for a train that comes every 3-4 hours. There isn't any bars to go to, not even a diner to sit in, absolutely nothing, save for a dry cleaners (??). I started to feel like I was in an episode of Friday the 13th. We walked around, passed some beautiful houses, some people getting ready to bbq, and then down a wooded trail where I started to think we might end up in a newspaper article if we continued. In short, Glencoe is creepy. I was relieved to get on that train.
