I recently applied for a job at basically got it...all I have to do is call them and tell them when I can start. However there is a girl there that I don't really want to work with and the job required a large amount of lifting and labor stuff. Today I went to a local video and grocery store and got an application for each. Should I hand in these applications or just accept the job I don't really want. I need some psychic help here to find the best path.
Take the job at hand. Put in the Other applications too. IF one calls, you have ONE paycheck, and can always change.
If I take the first job I would have to put my two weeks in before I even finished a full week of work. I don't want to do that. I'm afraid that if the other jobs know they have to wait two weeks after they hire me they will consider other applicants that can start work sooner.
You'd really give 2 weeks notice to a job you just started? Wow, that's quite a work ethic you've got. Most people quitting in their first week or two somewhere don't even bother to let anyone know they're quitting, they just don't show up or never return from lunch...
Well I would feel terrible to just leave someone hanging. I stil don't know what I am going to do about it though. I have until 5 o'clock tonight to decide. I really think a psychic should help me... *hint* *hint* *nudge* *nudge*
