Need your help guys. Vote on your favorite possibility above, and if you think you can do better, tell me whatcha got. Haha Our asses are in your hands. Vote now.
well, when my cousin moved to kansas to live with her boyfriend (now husband), they got a futon. if you have a decent bedframe, i'd keep the bedframe and get a new mattress.
Hahahaha, well...I don't have a bedframe at the moment...and umm.... the futon doesn't stand a chance. :X hahaha
Mattress first Hunt around for a good deal on a frame. I hav ea four poster iron canopy bedframe that I got for $280 used, and I -love- it... just from a piece of paper on my campus advertising it was for sale. Try looking at freecycle.org, find your local chapter and see if they're offering any bedframes or hell, ask for one
yea, if the futon is out, i would get the mattress first, then start looking for a frame can check out craigslist too

I got a bedframe and 2 really really comfy mattresses that were gently used for a $100! Check in the local paper or on craigslist! There's some sweet deals. I haven't been to Ikea but I hear they do have some good deals though too.
Thanks ihmurria. Those actually did seem pretty comfy lookin. I just don't want her pretty little self to get back aches from my hardass floor.
I'd order a mattress off of ikea or some similarly cheap store (assumign they'll ship to you that is) and buy a frame used (or find one for free). Mattress first still.
That's a really good idea...I know you can usually find cheap frames in the paper, but...FREE??? Where can I find these??
I built my last bed. Cost me sixty bucks. I did already have a second hand mattress from a family member though.
