Moving somewhere with a lower cost of living

    I live in North San Diego county right now...which is unfortunatley the most expensive place to live in the state ): , but is soo pretty.
    I am applying for jobs in Riverside and San Bernadino and am contemplating a move to Berkley for my PsyD in September because I can just not afford to live on my own here and still live comftrabley.
    Have any of you ever moved out of San Diego? Was it a shock? Did people discriminate against you?
