On The Dark Side of the Moon

I just smoked and layed down on my bed with the vnyal of Floyd's dark side of the moon playing and I listened to the first side, closed my eyes, and I started seeing all these shapes and colous flying around (only with eyes closed), and then I opened my eyes, and for a minute or two, I actually thought that the street lights and the lights from houses out there were planets, and that I was in space. I think it just completely opened up my mind to the true meaning of the album. Immanent death, time clicking away slowly, space travel, futurism, all of it man

 

lol ive done that before, its well fun made my eyebrows feel weird n dancy too.. i love it when your imagination just takes over everything you see.. its funny

 

Laying down with darkside of the moon playing in a dark room is always a great experience.

 

dude when time was playing, at the beginning with the clock ticking, that always scares the shit out of me, cause I feel like my heart beat is coinciding with the clock ticking, and I feel like Imma die soon, hahaha, pink floyd was just fucking with me on that one I guess

 

LMAO, dude you dont know how many times I'd be stoned laying in bed at night with darkside playing on my headphones, and I'd be drifting off to sleep or into some state of subconscious, then the beginning of time with all the clocks and bells going off comes on and scares the shit out of me. Happens nearly all the time, but yeah clock ticking is really cool as well. It does seem to coincide with your own heartbeat. The heartbeat is a major theme in the whole album though, thats how it starts and begins.

have y'all heard of the dub side of the moon? Its so phat, its a reggae version by the easy star allstars, they are soooooo good. Their new album Radiodread (cover of Ok Computer by Radio head) is really good too. I saw them live and stoned and I was about to blow my lid man, the best night of my life definately, sides the night I saw Steel Pulse

Yeah I've heard some of Dub Side of the Moon, don't they do the beginning of Money with like coughs or something? I dunno, just remember something like that for some reason.

 

Yeah, they do bong rips instead of a cash register. It's a sweet album.

 

Yeah, Breathe, Great gig in the sky, and any colour you like are fucking phat dude. You definately can't ever beat the original, which is in my opinion the greatest album ever created, but its still a great album when you want the original with more dancibility/ energy. What do y'all think is the greatest album ever created? Me and my friend always argue over Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band and Dark Side of the Moon
