recently ive been out of the loop with all poltical activity and i gain no insight about anything when i watch any of the major news stations...what are some informative NON BIASED news sources that i can find...thanks
You won't find unbiased sources. But with a little research its not hard to uncover those biases and put them in context, while cross-examining them with other sources. Papers I read on a regular basis: From Canada: The Tyee (www.thetyee.ca) The Globe and Mail (www.globeandmail.com) The National Post (http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/index.html) The Toronto Star (http://www.thestar.com/) The Montreal Gazette (http://www.canada.com/montrealgazette/index.html) The Vancouver Province (http://www.canada.com/theprovince/index.html) The Vancouver Sun (http://www.canada.com/vancouversun/index.html) CBC (www.cbc.ca) Macleans (www.Macleans.ca) Foreign: Washington Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/) NY Times (http://www.nytimes.com/) Fox News (http://www.foxnews.com/) CBS News (http://www.cbsnews.com/) The Guardian (http://www.guardian.co.uk/) The Atlantic (http://www.theatlantic.com/) I usually also keep up with several Political Science, Economics, and Business Journals, but I'm not really sure where to conveniently find these outside a University setting.
The guardian has a bias toward the labour party. A better UK paper is the independent - how independent they are remains a debateable point but for uk papers I sugest you look at private eye that really is independent and completely factual private eye calls the gaurdian - the grauniad the independent is a much better newspaper http://www.independent.co.uk/ http://www.private-eye.co.uk/
