i dont know if u guys heard of this bust thing operation h.e.m.p. (help eliminate marijuana planting) its pretty much over with though since winter has been here, but jesus they were crackin down in the fall. i live in northern michigan and the area i live it is kinda notorious for pot growing, but anyway from like sept to mid november there were helicopters flying around like everyday. i had a friend of mines parents get busted for like 9 plants, they were the nicest people too. now robert the husband is going to prison for 2 years, and darcy the wife already spent a couple of weeks in jail. my boyfriends my and boyfriend also got busted for a few more then 10 plants, also very nice people, they are still awaiting trial. i hope this doesnt turn out as bad for them because they have a few younger children that they need to be there for. i also know a few other people. i just think this is really terrible, u know they fill up the prisons and shit with people there for growing a little pot. its just ridiuclous, i highly doubt it bout i hope that ballot passes in michigan for the decriminalization of marijuana Police made a massive marijuana bust in Benzie County and confiscated plants worth more than $4 million dollars. Last year, police found 1,600 plants in the area off Joyfield Road on the East side of US-31, on the border of Benzie and Manistee Counties. They arrested a few high school kids but not the grower. This time, officers moved less than 24 hours after getting a new tip about plants in the same area. They found over 4,000 plants which is the largest bust in Benzie County history. Now investigators are acting on several tips to find the person or people who planted them.

theres a number of snitches floating around this town, but the reason my boyfriends parents got busted was because they run an auto repair shop out of their home. his dad happened to be working on one of the local cops cars and the cop must a caught a wiff of fresh bud or something in the air so he went snooping around and sure enough he narced on them.
That's horrible, especially about the guy getting 2 years in prison and the other parents. It's so true too, they're filling up prisons with people they think are criminals while the real criminals are still free walking the streets. The time is gonna come when the prisons will be too full to fit the real criminals cause they keep busting 'innocent' people...but maybe then they'll realize it's time to decriminalize/legalize marijuana. And I love how they used HEMP for their letters
Thats nuts, years for only a few plants? First offense? Doesn't sound right. I'm sorry they are busting like that, its a crime that the govt believes these people are criminals.

it honestly depends from state to state.if they had another 11 plants then they would have been adding another 3 years onto thheir sentence. but if they jsut lived in ohio one state down they would have gotten a fine for cultivating under 100 grams. it all really depends. In montana if you are caught selling a dime bag of weed on school property u get 4 years to life. ... and no matter what they do they will never eliminate as much as 2% of the total drug trade. it's sad to see how long people can be commited to a futile effort.
There is an org. called C.A.M.P. (Campaign Against Marijuana Plantations) that has been operating in California for decades. They fly around in black helicopters. The personel are hated in The Triangle. A lot of times no one will rent them rooms and they are refused service at stores/restuarants. So much so that they had to build barracks and food service places at their bases. They circled my prop. 8 times in July. I had 24 plants but I wasn't worried because that's my legal limit. They know what the limit is and they were probably hoping to find that 25th plant. CAMP only busts large grows, but when they spot a garden they notify the county heat. The county cops didn't even bother to come out. P.S. In some counties in CA., with a Dr's recommendation (not too hard to get since pot is good for so many ailments) you can legally grow up to 99 plants at a time.
