...the next leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. I think this is the best outcome we could have hoped for as Dion ran on the principle of engaging a green economy and meeting our kyoto targets. In general he just seems like a chill level-headed dude. ...Spring time election, thaughts? (I'll still be voting Geen of course)
Haha. I hope to vote Green as well (I have no loyalties to a party, however). I actually wish that Elizabeth May could get a seat. I live near the London area and got a chance to have a few beers with her, and she came second in the recent byelection and beat out our former mayor. I want to see her win a seat SO BAD. I couldn't care what party she was in (former cabinet minister Garth Turner was in town campaigning with her as an independent) and the new Liberal MP Glen Pearson is friends with her. Glen Pearson is using the Green Party's policies on environmental conservation along with Stephane Dion's policies to reduce greenhouse gases to draw up some real legislation in hopes to pass in parliament. I approve of Dion.
I liked Dion's platform and ideas as well. But i think he'll have a lot of trouble in Québec. He was the one who brought the Clarity Act in this wasn't popular in Québec. And i'm sure the Bloc will focus only on this particular aspect. He did make an excellent during the time he was Environnement Minister though ... I wonder what Ignatieff and Rae will do ...
Normally, I'm all for Green... But seeing as Dion is Liberal and his whole platform and ideas are so green-oriented... Well, for this election, I think he's got a better chance than Green, so my vote goes to Liberal. My dad and I watched his speech last night on CTV and we were both flipping out. I'm so incredibly excited about him.
ahh fuck i just posted a thread on this same topic i saw it right after i posted it fucking shit i think my trhead is better though Rae willg o back to being a failure of a politician and Ignatieff will go back to teaching how to wash horse assholes at Harvard
