Okay, so I only have three peircings... one in each lobe, which I'm stretching and are currently at a 6, and one in the cartilidge of my right ear. A couple months ago I put a 14 g cbr into the cartilidge peircing, but I lost the bead from it. I can't decide whether to get another bead put in (would most places do that, even though they didn't peirce it or sell me the jewelry? could I just buy a bead from them and have them put it in?), or get another style ring for it entirely. What's your favorite jewelry for this peircing? I'm also trying to decide whether I want more holes... I'll probably end up stretching my lobes to a 0 g. They just seem like they look mosty empty though... should I get a second hole above the first lobe peircing and stretch it to maybe a 6 or 8? lol, I know it's my own decision. I'm just asking for opinions....
My ears are gauged to a 0 I also have a second and third piercing in each ear lobe and a tragus on the left (getting my right conch done tomorrow [yay!]) I really love having at my 2 other regular piercings on each side because I can wear normal earrings as well. I think you should go for it and get the second piecing you can always remove the piercing if you don't like it. another thing to consider is stretching the earlobe first before you get the normal piercings because I had my second piercings years before the gauges and my gauges are coming close to running into the second piercing, just a suggestion. I say go for it and get the piercing, the more the merrier
Thanks for the words sis! I think I will try and get that second hole sometime... I just stretched my lobes to a 4 this morning. I'm working on a line of glass plugs in the hopes that they will buy me some ink work in the next couple months. Maybe I can make this piercing come of it as well. Any thoughts on the cartilage jewelry? I guess I'll just get a bead put in, if that's an option. Not like I'll be wanting to take it out and play with it all the time or anything...
I wear a 14g 1/2" curved barbell in my cartilage. I used to wear a captive, but it was awkward when I would sleep on that side. A piercing shop would definitely sell you a bead and insert it for you. It would probably cost round $5. If you have a random regular bead lying around that is the same size as the one you lost, try putting that in there. I do that every once in a while to change things up. Works great!
A captive bead ring. It's a metal ring with a bead closure. Like this: http://www.bodyartforms.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=2708
