yeah, im glad it finally came again. i doubt we have to go to school tomorrow either....i just have a shit load of chocolate and tea that's about all i need when its snowing. the roads are shitty which sucks but its warmer inside....i want to go to the wishing tree though, that'd be sweet. plus...there is a brady bunch marathon on right now haha, how great.
i had a snow day today, too. Supposidly its the worst winterstorm in STL in several years. If the ice (today, its not snow, its just frozen rain, like really tiny hail) goes on to thick on the powerlines, we could loose power, according to all the news channels. Wouldnt that suck? no heat in the worst storm!
shit that would suck....we're almost close to that, its like a foot deep or so here....im surprised it snowed.
Damn, I want snow too! We only had a tiny bit for the last 5 years or so... And even if we had, we only had snow for a week whole winter. We just have a 6th month autumn here in the Netherlands and I'm sick of it. I'm longing for wintry hardships!
yeah. i haven't had a snow day in a long time either. we had a half day yesterday, but today we're off completely!
I've never truly had a white christmas... I've had a rainy Christmas... slushy Christmas.. icy Christmas. Part of living down here, I guess...
we had a lot of snow night before last, and there's still some stuck to the road... that is amazing. last year we didn't have any snow, and the year before that it snowed in march and that's it... so this exciting for me driving on icy roads isn't fun though
if only it was cold enough to snow now cause it poured this morning and now we have like 50 mph winds. its real bad out
yeah our roads are already clear....of course, but everywhere else is like a foot or 2 deep, its great. hopefully it actually does it on christmas day too thatd be sweet...
It turned out to be an ice storm w/ snow afterwards. It was freezing rain for a long time, and then that rain formed tons of iceicles on trees and powelines. Well, the trees' sap hasnt gone down in its roots completely yet, so they were kinda weak and the weight of all the iceicles made them fall down and snap. My favorite mamossa tree fell down completly and my huge box elder lost like 10 of its biggest limbs, the ones that shaded my whole yard and looked so pretty in the summer. It was pretty sad. But the cool part was that my room didnt get hit at all (my room is on the corner of the house right next to the box elder). All the limbs missed my room by like 6 inches, for real, im not exaggerating. Well thousands of houses in the STL area lost power, many got it back so far, but i still dont have power. Im at my relitives house right now. At my house, its about 40 something degrees inside because we havent had electricity since wendsday night. And the thinks that sucks the most is that all the good hills to sled on are covered by tree branches, and theres no way to warm up after youve been outside for a while.
