need help with grateful dead dvd's

    hey,
    my boyfriend is a huge grateful dead fan, but unfortunately I don't know much about them. For christmas I was going to buy him a dvd of a concert, but I have no idea which ones are better than others. Right now I have Truckin' up to buffalo because that's the only one they had in stock; however they said they can special order me almost any dvd, so any thoughts on the best ones out there? thanks

    ahhhhh, tough question.
    If you want you could just go with The Grateful Dead movie, can't go wrong with that. I personally am into Downhill From Here (Alpine Valley), and Closing of Winterland is a badass gig.

    I don't know what to say about "truckin" but judging by the setlist it definatly looks very nice. So yea, good luck and I'm sure he'll be happy with anything dead.

    yeah all their DVD's are great. just make sure he doesnt already have it.
