Hahahaha. Meet the new hippie, my friend, same as the old hippie. Society may be different, but it's all the same problems and the same world we're on. It's all in the mindset and philosophy, and by those rules - there is no difference.
i agree with this...there's really not a lot of differences -- same values and all... but one thing that pisses me off though is (like in all cultures across the board) there are people that only use one narrow definition that decides whether one fits into a certain group or not...In polyamory they call this person a "One True Way Polyamorist", they only see one way of how polyamory works and if you disagree in any way then you are not engaging in the poly world and you are wrong.... the "one true way hippie" exists in this community too (like i said it exists everywhere) to be considered a "hippie" you have to do this, wear this and NOT life off the electric grid...its just ridiculous.. a hippie (to me) is someone who believes in peace and love, and is a good person --although they don't necessarily have to label themself as one to be one..its the attitude and mind, like Grim said...
