hey Glass Girl... could you respond to this thread I just posted? If you have any advice, that is... thanks http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=201476
^^^^ Yes I will respond and sorry for taking so long. Brian started blowing glass from his backpack with 2 propane torches he purchased from Canadian Tire. He struggled for the first few years selling mostly out of parking lots or even on someones coffee table. I am very proud of him and he does some pretty nice stuff now. He always recommends reading as much as you can and Comtemporary lampworking by Bandhu Scott Dunham is an awesome place to start. You can take classes offered at colleges and GlassBlowing schools. Brian taught himself 1993 and now teaches others. Proper torches and raw materials can be expensive so having money to invest would be good. When someone asks him if he can teach them to blow glass he then asks them if they can learn. I believe you can learn whatever you put your heart into. Good luck to you my friend.
Here check out Bandhu Scott Dunham. http://www.salusaglassworks.com/ Here is another piece by Brian it is made with stick stack technique with a pot leaf prunt on top.
that bubbler looks like the shit! it has a slide and mushrooms on the side, it would be my best friend
