My visit to Woodstock. I got to meet Wizzarddrew77!!

 

where is this in woodstock... i live close by and haven't seen it?

I love Woodstock! Did you catch the fall leaves of the Catskills? I use to travel through there in the fall to Saugerties for the annual garlic festival. Magical place!

I miss that place so much! I used to go every year. Now, we can't afford to make it up there.

from what ive been told woodstock sounds like one of the most kickass places to visit. and judging from drews pictures, its gorgeous. i wanna go someday

seriously though, I would flip out in a town full of hippies like woodstock, ny...... there are a few too many here, and they freak me out....... there is one I see all the time with a huge old beard and a big cat-in-the-hat hat, walkin around town flashin the peace sign, hangin out at all the coffee joints..... he scares me.

 

believe me, i live near woodstock and its a rich folks town and more so everyday with lots of corporate types from nyc buying second homes here in the mountains with the result of property values rising and the stress its puts on the area arts community for what it traditionally is... sure, there are hippies but mostly its an arts scene... btw, besides a hippy, i'm also an avant guardian artist


Woodstock is and has been an Artist Colony for over 100 years.
What I paid for my old apartment I now rent a home and even have my own Gallery too.
Yes-we have many rich folk who have big houses here.
Uma Thurman-Who grew up here and her father teaches in the Buddhist temple.
David Bowie who moved here with his family so he can go back to his work as an artist.
Levon Helm-From The Band who never left.
Bob Dylan-who still owns a home and land here.
and so on.

 

oh sa-weet. that looks like such a beautiful place.

 

Sure with rent controll in the 5 Boroughs, why the hell not buy a country house.
