cant seem to find the answer to my query anywhere. Can BV (bacterial vaginosis) cause a sore throat at all after oral sex (or oral contact with fluids from someone with BV)?
I have a killer sore throat and am being treated for BV

no. bacterial vaginosis is not a well described condition. aside from saying it's an imbalance of the bacterial flora in the vagina, no one has ever been able to isolate a causal organism. the thing to bear in mind is vaginal ph is about 4.5. it's the most acidic environment in the body outside of the stomach. the throat has a much more neutral ph and whatever bacterial flora is causing BV won't survive for long against the bacterial flora in the throat that are optimised for the more neutral ph.

np sore throats are common and as they love to teach us.. common things occur commonly :). pain killers and some lozenges and you just have to wait it out.

as I'm fond of saying - it'll take 7 days to clear without antibiotics or if you prefer a week with antibiotics :D
