You can capture youtube videos and sound from the screen with software such as Camtasia. It's possible to find the video file in the cache of your web browser too. If anyone knows a simpler way of capturing, let me know. .
I don't think I've ever seen that Ed Sullivan clip with the Doors. The Doors snubbed Sullivan's show by using the word 'higher' in their song Light My Fire. The censor told them it was against the rules to use the word 'higher'. They did anyway and were never allowed back on Sullivan. .

Thanks. One of the band members from the Doors told that story on a documentary. I can't remember who or what network. The Stones had to change Let's Spend The Night Together to Let's Spend Some Time Together. They didn't snub Sullivan like the Doors, but then again they got to do more shows. .
Did you know that Mick Jagger refused to go on the 'revolving stage' at the end of the British t.v. show: 'Sunday Night At The London Palladium' in 1967 because he felt it was demeaning & he fell out with Andrew Loog-Oldham over this saga.
