The News sucks i cannot stand it anymore. When i grow up i want to be a weather man and get paid over 100,000 a year to lie to people everyday and i get to talk about it on tv for like 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the evening. The news reporters report on the dumbest stuff too a while back i remember a story......"what do your dogs do when your not home" hmmm i guess you wont know till your get back will ya. They do stupid pointless tests that mean nothing its all corupt i tell you. anyone else got anything to add feel free to
well, i work in a newsroom in Canada, and everyone here pretty much agrees with you. Half the stories aren't newsworthy, the weather reports are pointless...but, there's a demand for it. People eat this shit up, and we get paid. We gotta report on something, and the world, really, isn't interesting enough for quality reports for 4 hours everyday. You are responsible, when watching the news, to filter out the shit for yourself. And I'd like to add that, from what I've seen here at CHtv in Hamilton, that there is NO government or corporate influence on what we report on....unless they are really good at hiding it.
Yeah.. the sad thing is, the news (Fox is for fascists, so I'm only speaking of CNN) is given as almost a courtesy in the name of an informed public. It's no wonder the net is so full of anarchists. I mean, if this is information why not just blast the whole thing and start over? Bah.. humbug..snort.. I'm gonna go to a thread that makes me think of flowers and rainbows.
Yeah, I'm getting fucking sick of it. Not so much the message they send, but that it's all my dad ever watches. It drives me nuts it's so fucking depressing. My dad is like, "I need to know what's going on in the world!", but when I bring him an article from the internet, he starts questioning where I got it, and how truthful it is, like the news is the ultimate truth, and I blindly follow anything some shmuck says on the internet. Like for example, that post lsdtrip(i think it was him) about the monkey in india that started walking on it's hind legs. I mentioned it to my dad cause it sounded cool, and he starts freaking out asking where I heard it and if I read it anywhere else. None the less, I still watch the local fox29 news, cause it's funny as hell. It's news stories like these that crack me up. Like because of the hurricane, they're filming footage of shit being destroyed, and they interviewed like five different guys who had a tree fall down in their yard. It's like Arcadia is getting fucking demolished by charlie, but they're interviewing some ass who lost a limp on his fucking tree? Give me a break.
Perhap's the people who bring us the news are not the ones that suck. maybi it's the sicko's who make it?
I agree that network news suck. My person thing is the "Scare the shit outta ya" segment. "Pasta and noodles, the untold secret that could cost you and your children your lives! See our special report no one wants you to see. At 6:00." WTF? Watch CNN, it has MUCH less of this shit.

Well, the mainstream news sources do suck. I do watch the news that is televised, but I also get alot of my news from the internet.
Oh i know...i dont like watching the news because its sooo depressing and makes me worry about everything and panic! And sometimes when theres a commercail for the 10 o clock news, the newsreporter says "There is a very deadly disease going around, and you might have it without knowing it........but watch at 10 and then we'll tell you." Ah! Isnt there any news that talk about the positive things in the world?
I watch CNN alot now...I just wanna keep up with whats going on in Iraq & afghanistan.But it sucks cause if they do show the war they show it for like 5 secs,then move on to larry king interviewing Jack Hanna...
The news definitely turned me off from TV. I can get news faster online, and I don't have to wait until 10 o'clock to get it. Online, it'd probably be more accurate anyway, and it won't include a lame one sentence conclusion.
Nothing normal on TV, these days, war, war, war... When`s it gonna STOP... once `n` for all... "Today in Afgan. happened a terrible catastrophee... A suicide bomber went in a mall and activated a bomb. Victims - 10 killed.. 100 wounded..." - and craps like that... Is there ever going to be peace in world? Anything useful and normal on TV... ???? TV sucks Internet rules...
