What Made you want to Try it in the first place

What made you want to try weed back when you first started.... like what was the appeal of it for you?

I was just kind of pondering this.....

 

okay well, uhhhh. I got into ska and reggae a lot, and I met a connection, and I had kind of wanted to try it before all this.

 

To be honest... It was part peer pressure and part curiosity.

 

curiosity, and the desire to experience as many things as i can before i die

 

this one kid in my history class was telling me about it and it sounded really fun so i tried it.

 

Back when I first started I was a young adult, out on my own, and I had heard that all the hot bands like The Beatles and Stones and Dylan all smoked it.

Good enough reason for me.

 

I had always been open to marijuana smoking.... even more so than cigarettes, yet never knew anyone that smoked and never had the urge. When I met a girl, and I started falling for her, I knew she smoked, and one time she invited me to smoke, and so I did. I didn't get high because I didn't smoke right. Years later I did it again with her, my gf, and got high, but it was like no other high, very intense. Then I met a dude at the beach and he pulled out a joint of some goood shit and I got real high. A year later a buddy asked if I smoked, said yes, and we fell in love with weed.

My friends were smoking it and told me it was good, so I tried it. I didn't know anything about drugs at that time.

 

Curiosity. I was the last of my friends to try it though because I researched the shiiittt out of it before hand.

 

someone handed me a joint, 1 of my neighbours and smoked it and enjoyed it
only smoked it a dozen times or so tho b4 i got caught with some and stopped smoking for about 4 years till iwas out on my own and could do what i wanted
and been puffin since
1xst times i was like 11 or 12..and think i didnt smoke again till 14 or 15
so u guess i wouldnt say i wanted to try it the 1st time, never really thought about it b4 that..but it wa thrre..i tried it and enjoyed it
and im glad i did
when u look back at all the drugs u tried..and only a couple sytand out as ones your glad u tried..ya just know its a gift not a curse like so many drugs end up becomming

 

What made me want to try was a few reasons;
1. That we learnt about why it was so bad in school, which made me want to see why.
2. My friend (2 years older) was talking to me about it on the bus home from school one day....so when we got back, we went to his house, he rolled a joint and I got off my face. Good times...

I miss those days . I also miss having any weed....I'm on a break due to lack of funds which isnt good.

 

^ sucks, man. im on a hiatus til i can find a better hookup... thats frustrating, having the money but no weed of quality around. tired of smoking lower quality...

great thread, by the way. i started smoking because i felt i needed change in my life, partly curiosity, partly because why the fuck not?

 

i started smoking because i work construction and needed the release. i dont drink, so MJ was my first choice

 

I got caught after my third time getting high cause of this dumbass kid who told his mom

I can't remember how I got talked into my first time-- guess that means it worked tho. Takin' bong rips in my cousin's closet... i remember i spit all over the Spoof and coughed into the bong. haha, guess we're all dumb kids at some point. Good times.

I can't tell you. one day a few years ago I decided to buy 3 g's. no idea why. i smoked them at lunch and after school that day and haven't stopped since. (minus 2 months of quitting for Canada games, then I ended up not making the games, needless to say i was pissed and bought 10g's)

 

Weed came after a few other things; alcohol, speed, dxm... just curious as to what weed felt like, seeing as it's one of the most widely used and talked about "psychoactives". Never any peer pressure because I normally don't hang around with people who are into the whole drug scene. Just curiousity.
