Thought i'd give a shout out to these guys. Some of it is difficult to get into--often it's two chords repeated into oblivion-- but it's pretty hypnotic. I had to laugh when someone told me they usually played live sitting down....it's true! A different take on the Velvet Underground, Stooges and 13th Floor Elevators, for sure. But definetely not for everyone, it takes a pretty strong will and lots of patience to really get the sound.

Yeah, I agree. I see what's good about them, but most of the time I just can't get into their songs. A bit more alternation would do it for me.

i love these guys, they later evolved into Spiritualized which is a more spacey-symphonic take on the simple chord progressions....Spaceman 3's "Perfect Prescription" is probably the best "heroin" music ever...

Spacemen 3 are pretty crazy. Loosing touch with my mind is such a classic track. When they evolved into Spiritulized, Sonic Boom left and did some pretty trippy solo work aswell.
Awesome band, its always good to see other people that keep bands like this alive.

i just got into them. good background music man. i especially like 'hey man'.
before i heard their first album i recorded something totally similar to the ending of O.D. Catastrophe with my guitar. bizzare. i guess they do have some similarity to Hawkwind tho, and ive listened to quite a bit of hawkwind
