How can anyone like Indie music and not like Elliot Smith?

God, the guy had balls though, he killed himself in one of the most painful and violent deaths possible. Hey, at least it was a poetic death for the guy, it's more romantic than pulling a Kurt Cobain

Are you into the Winter Pills and Espers too? If not, you might like them

I haven't checked out the winter pills or the espers, but Elliott Smith is by far my favorite singer-songwriter. His music always has a profound impact on me whenever I listen to it.

I loved Elliott Smith's stuff for a while, since after "XO" came out. It is a total tragedy, and I cried. But I don't think I was surprised. I saw him in an interview, and he was painfully shy. He was nervous, and it appeared that he'd like to be doing anything but the interview. You could tell that he spoke through his music, rather through words.

All his stuff is great, but I will always like "Figure 8", followed by "XO", and after that, I like it all equally. I'd be lying though, if I said it wasn't hard for me to listen to his stuff now.

I love him, and had to chance to see him several times.

I believe his girlfriend killed him.
