Bush has funded more stem cell research than Clinton.

Why does Laura need to be shot? Some people think that killing embryos is morally wrong...and they are entitled to that opinion.

Yeah but if i am not wrong, stem cell research wasn't really a issue during the time clinton was president. Mainly because they weren't well know ...

Yes...but how can you kill something that wasn't alive to begin with?

Bush did fund research, but only for existing stem cells. That was 5 years ago. We're taking extremely small steps towards research that has a high possibility of saving lives because of some stupid moral idea that a clump of cells the size of a period is a human being.
If people weren't so close-minded to the idea of stem cell research, Laura Bush's father may not have died from Alzheimer's; a treatment/cure is out there, and so many people who are suffering from it could possibly be living normal lives.
But, I mean, of course they're entitled to their opinions, even if they are baseless.

And, not to mention, thousands of leftover embryos from IVF (in vitro fertilization) are destroyed everyday, but nobody seems to have a problem with that.

I personally don't want people living any older.

It's conceivable that George Bush is intellectually incapable of grasping the details of the science involving stem cell research. This is the kind of issue that requires intellect and rational thinking, not more of the same lame-duck cartoon act.
