I have read this and I LOVE it. I am a HUGE Poe fan and have a nice collection of his works- I like I have 20+ books in my collection. He was a prolific writer and lived a very unusual life.
Cask of Amontillado is my favorite of his works. It was just so dark and creepy...but then again, so are all of his stories. The Bells was also a good one. Telltale Heart is a classic, but it's been used up to cliche-hood by all the new emo-wannabe losers.....But I love Edgar Allan Poe......some of the greatest books of all time.....
i love his creepy stories but his poems doesnt mean much for me(except some of them)it must be because of poems get stranger when they are translated.because they are games of your heart and language.when you take language off it becomes deficient.. 2 months ago i found a book that contains all of his stories and novel.it looked like it was about three kgs i cant wait to have it but its also expensive(but itll worth) and im too lazy to go and buy it
I could never get into Poe's works until in eigth grade when my teacher read Anabelle Lee, that's still my favourite. Then he read the Raven later that week. I've loved Poe's work ever since.
I am a HUGE Poe fan...I collect his books and stories and poems and bios.....he was a great writer and tragic...tortured soul.
hmm, Poe was a great writer--yes, he was insane, but we all are at some point in time. Poe has influenced me in my writing, and even though I haven't read much; The Raven-- a classic, one of the best poems I think written about insanity and love, and Black Cat-- frightening realistic to our world today, are my favorite ones of his so far. I also think his death is very mysterious... Poe was very mysterious
im a fan of Fall of the House of Usher and also The Raven. i think those two are his best...but i love them all
I like him very much. A lot of his things are morbid, and I've been trying to avoid the completely morbid lately, but I still appreciate him. He will always be one of my favorites. How about Doctor Tarr and Professor Fether? Or Hop-Frog? And while Annabel Lee is my favorite of his poems and The Raven is also very good, he wrote wonderful lesser known ones as well. Eldorado and The City in the Sea among them.
