my friends are huge druggies but I do not know why they wont let me try acid????

cuz they wanna protect u, the whole "do what i say, not what i do" thing. unfortunately if u really wanna try some drug they'll have a hard time stopping u.

 

If they are older I guess id understand.

well if ur friends have had bad experiences with acid, then maybe u should listen to them cuz maybe the 'cid in ur area isnt too clean. Then again, if they have never been experienced then dont listen to them at all and i say go for it. I think everyone should eat L at least once in their life.

 

Some people just can't handle it, really. I believe (now) that recreational use of LSD is pretty disrespectful to old Albert Hofmann.. His creation.. He's always said is a TOOL and should be used as a tool.. Mind expansion, if you will. Though I quit acid in the late 90's seeing as how most of the time it wasn't really acid. (Or if it was, pretty shitty stuff compared to what I had in the 60s)

 

Personally, I think recreational use of acid is nescessary to push it into mainstream use. Well, I say mainstream.. I don't mean like drinking/smoking are, but just acceptability to your average person (though I can't see it ever being legal).

For every person who takes acid for kicks and never lets it become more than that, there's going to be another person for whom it becomes a doorway to a new way of thinking, and if it weren't for it's recreational uses, many people would never even consider trying it.

 

Hoffman didnt intentionaly create lsd he was experimenting with chemicals that would increase blood flow or some shit. There are people who understand the drug and how it should be used far more than hoffman take Ken Kesey for example.

Why would Hofmann know less about a drug he created, whether or not it was by accident? You do realize that once he accidentally discovered it's mind-altering abilities he proceeded to do self experiments, experiments with the other chemists in his lab and so forth?

You should read "My Problem Child" and then decide if Hofmann understands what the drug should be used for. Just because they were experimenting with the ergot alkaloids and weren't looking for doesn't mean that he can't know how the drug should now be used.

And I hope you realize that recreational use of any drug is going to hinder its acceptance, in the scientific community but more importantly in the political community. The fact that people take it just to see what they can see is one of the reasons that it was made illegal in the first place. I think that a lot of us miss the point - these drugs ARE dangerous, although there are ways to be safe about it. They're not physically harmful, but what happens when you don't know what's real? What if you don't know what you're doing or think that you're doing something than what you actually are? I'm not saying that it's common for this kind of shit to happen, but just go read some of the trip reports at Erowid and see what can happen when you take too much.

People have known about the positive principles of these drugs for tens of thousands of years, and studies are starting to get pushed through that are showing promise. But don't think for one second that these drugs will ever be legal to just take whenever like pot will be.

 

The answer is quite obviously that you are not jammin hard enough, bob. Jam harder and ye shall be given the secrets of the universe.

there there..thats ok ill give u some.......yeah fuk that...lol ..if ur 16 u shouldnt mess with acid just stear towards shrooms then when u know how that is if u wanna move up then show ur friends that ur responsible and have taken a hard drug..anyways shrooms can be better than lsd in my case..the lsd these days is kinda getting weak
