This is my first thread ever posted here, so I hope its alright. Anyway, I've been havin some issues with people at this high school hurtin the nature around the school, like doin stuff like hittin the birds and squirrels and stray cats with slingshots and rocks, stuff like pourin hot coffee on ant mounds and spider webs, and like spray paintin the trees and shrubs and flowers. I really don't know what to tell these people cause I got my ass kicked last time I tried bringin it up to them :(. I don't know if hurtin wildlife and nature bugs anyone else but it really drives me crazy...

Hope everyone had an awesome Thanksgiving!

As much as it would seem like complaining to "the man" or whatever, talk to your school about it. Failing that, get a larger group of people against it, because you'll have strength in numbers. You may seem like an asshole alone, but with enough people supporting what you're saying, it'll have a lot more effect...

Of course it bothers me! At my little brothers baseball game one of his friends put a little toad in a almost empty gatorade bottle then put the white powder stuff that forms the baseball feild boundaries in the bottle and shook it up, I think thats the most dissappointed I've ever been with a kid in my life. You should definetly do something about it. I agree with you The Moroccan Raccoon, there is definetly safety in numbers, that sounds just like what you need to change whats happening. Good Luck :)

some of that would be vandalism in the school's eyes, so that could get stopped, and are sling shots ALLOWED at school? Never was at mine.
so, tip off the admin, maybe thru a bully hotline or whatever.

You really should report it. It's been shown that people who start out in life abusing animals often end up abusing people like their wives and kids. It's a good thing that somebody teaches them that this sort of thing is unacceptable, the earlier the better. Besides, hurting innocent animals is wicked and sick and if you know about it and don't try to put a stop to it then you're in a way responsible too. Try an anonymous note or just be brave and do the right thing. Sometimes in life you've just got to.

sad news! Its bigger than that.

The power palnt that powers your PC so you can type this rant is killing nature!

The cars you ride in the things you buy they money you spend is all here because some part of nature died!

Some day we will die though, when nature kills us.

You know, i don't know why some people think that humans have the right to destroy other life. Ive gotten into many an argument over wether humans are better than animals. my answar is always NO! we evolved from the very things people are killing off now. it's discusting. All life is intertwined, and as far as i'm concerned, killing nature is like killing your oldest relitave. I don't know, i might just be a tad over sensitive on this topic, but thats how i feel.

Nature is here to breed life, not to be killed.

    Yep
When we die what do you think will become of us?

We will return to nature, to feed the living.

our energy climbed to the top of the chain and is soon going to fall back to the bottom.

Thats a very intresting observation. i never thought about it that way. Maybe it's all Ment to be, the big circle of life... Thats pretty cool.

Seems that Canada Goose is getting a bad press.

Folks are all in a twitter about the goose shit on the park lawn.
Though a good rainfall melts it away.

Joggers and such are making a fuss and towns and corporations and airports
are forming "stratigies" to keep the Geese off thier properties.

Beaches are posted with Dont Feed signs while newspapers are
full of solem homilies about high fecal coliform counts in the waters.

Word has gotten on down to the little deviants who have deciphered that its
now open season on the birds.

A neighbor put in bulbs in his garden for tulips and flowers and such.

Well the squirills had a smorgasboard out there and ate everything.

Now he's got a BB gun, slingshot, hav-a-hart traps.

I'm afraid i'll have a window popped out by that BB-gun.
