There is a reason why we as humans have larger brains and fewer sharper teeth, we've evolved, we are not neanderthals anymore despite some of the opinions expressed. We don't need to hunt, and kill animals for food, we've developed technology to farm crops which is far more efficient and cost effective than farming animals. Is amazing how many people will justify eating flesh because they dont have to see the way that is has been treated and delivered on a plate to them. Would they be so eager to bite into meat if they had to cut and slice the live animal themselves?

i am not against vegitarianism what soever, but i dislike when they consider themselves better than people who do eat meat... get off your high horse, some people on this world are starving and dont have a choice, consider yourself lucky to be able to get a hold of food liike that

I don't consider myself better in any way. Hell, if I was starving, I'd eat meat too. Still, there are so many people who have the money to not eat meat, yet they do anyway. And I only lecture people when they make fun of me or get in my face

There wouldn't be starving people if more people were vegetarians. We divert grain to livestock rather than humans. Think about it.

no offense but what makes veggies think they are right about not wantin to eat meat?

im not a veggie but im cool with what everybody wants to do. so maybe ud consider that i dont respect animals, but i respect human beings, and im sorry to say that but its more important to me.

its nice we live in a country where we're rich enough to choose what we want to eat unlike those other countries where they have to fight to have one piece of food. Being poor, I learned that whatever food I can get is fine, when you grow up poverty stricken you learn to appreciate what food you can get instead of being picky. Some of us dont have enough money to choose what type of food we want.

The people are starving because the animals are being fed with food that would originally go to them ::sigh:: Here it comes again: 75 percent of the grain sent to third world nations goes to livestock production.

Perhaps youd stop eating meat then. and give some food to your fellow human beings.

    Just a thought. :)

Why do people think you can only be a veghead if you have a lot of money?! Vegetables and tofu cost a lot less than meat does.. this I know from experience. It doesn't take a grip of money to be a compassionate eater. It's not a matter of vegetarians being better than meateaters or considering themselves so... it's a matter of considering another life other than one's own. The point is we don't NEED meat to live.. we eat it out of pure taste and luxury, so why eat it? Why take food( the grains and corn we feed to animals) from the mouths of millions of starving people so we can feed it to our livestock so we can eat them? If people truly cared for the welfare of other people they would adopt a vegetarian diet. There would be MORE food to go around. Instead we let them starve so we can have our meat. * Sigh*... I suppose we could go round and round on this issue.

Heh heh, 's funny. Why are neandrathals always characterized as lumbering, moronic brutes, while us Homo Sapians are the e-pit-o-me of the evolutionary process?
