I don't like her new style. She used to have such a great sound, but now she's just like so many other singers. There's one very beautiful song on the album, though, "All good things (come to an end)". I'm in love with that one.
Yeah, I was never the biggest fan, but her first two records displayed an artistic uniqueness, like she wasn't quite a diva (ie: Mariah), not a disposable teenybopper hit song machine (ie: Britney Spears, Christina), not a singer songwriter type (ie: Sarah McLaughlin), nor was she an adult contemporary artist (ie: Celine Dion). She had a sound all her own. Then she traded that sound because her second record didn't sell as much as the record company liked, so the record company told her to sleaze it up and sell more records. I always thought she had a sexy classy thing going, now it's just kinda sleazy, but in her defense, that's the record company, not necessarily her.
I love that cd...they played almost the whole cd at the club last night. It's the best non-euro dance album to come out in a long time.
you know why else I think I like that cd so much? It totally reminds me of 80's modonna from my childhood for some reason.
I agree I liked her first 2 CDs. I think when Folklore(which I really liked) didnt prove to be much with sales she had to conform to what was popular to continue to be in the public eye. Oh well....to each their own.
she used to have talent, but it seemes she traded it for eternal life in the fiery pits of hell her 15 minutes are almost over
