...........what will be on this christmas............ahh let me guess ............JASON AND THE ARGONAUGHTS fuck me those skeletons need feeding up man . WHAT ELSE DO YOU THINK WILL BE ON ? AND WHAT WOULD LIKE TO SEE ON TELE OVER CHRISTMAS ?
I love Jason and the Argonaughts, it's such a classic. That and Clash of the Titans, they're amazing films. Saw the old Sinbad films from the 50's the other day, back when American actors spoke almost like Brits. Anyways, it's a safe bet to say the Snowman will be on....
I would absolutely love it if Christmas On Divison Street was on again. It's a film with Hume Cronyn about a young lad and his friendship with an old homeless man. The ending makes me cry every time
always enjoy watching the snowman "jack frost (not del boy ) father christmas and scrooge followed by a bit of good old comedy classics steptoe and son " morcambe and wise .
The Signalman, and all the other classic Christmas ghost stories. They've just brought them back again after not showing them for a couple of years.
We're heavy into the Father Christmas movies already, done "Miracle of 42nd Street" and "Polar Expess".
Couple of things I'll be watching... Ricky Gervais meets... Christopher Guest and Garry Shandling The Thick of It
Definitely Christmas ghost stories, especially M R James. Does anyone remember The Green Man by Kingsley Amis with Albert Finney in the lead role? Loved that!
I vaguely remember that ... have no real recollection of what it was about other than centred around a pub called The Green Man (I think?), but I sometimes still think of it ... odd
Yes it was! Albert Finney played the unsavoury landlord of the coaching inn and was nominated for a BAFTA award. He frightens his guests with tales of ghosts until he realises there really is a malevolent spirit at work. I'll say no more, but I think it's to be released on DVD shortly.
