Hello, I am newbie, watch me toke. I wanted to make a thread for my fav smoke/hang places, won't you please add yours to them? We can make this a review kind of thread or not. 1st off: Dampkring on Handboogstraat. Hands down my fav smoke shoppe. Great weed, cool decor, always very cool people working there. Always my first place to visit after I check in to the hotel. Other fun spots: Funny People, Smokey's, Barney's (great breakfast), Blue Velvet. I can't wait to go again (January!!), my mouth is watering as I type this. Hotels I've stayed at: Mercure. Pricey, nice, clean too far from all the action. Nadia. 51 Raadhuis Straat (not too bad for a budget place), loooong flight of stairs and no lift--not fun for coming (wobbling?) home late at night. But pretty hip location, close to Dam Square. Cordial. Very good location, tiny tiny rooms, cheap--good for budget. Better than Nadia but the seeming never ending construction on the Rokin prevents you from sleeping in. bzzzzzzz. Schiller-Rembrantplein. Very nice place. High budget, great location. In January im staying at the RHO, anyone know it? Review?

I forgot "Greenhouse" has some KILLEr weed and a very cool hang. They serve beer and have a nice bar.
Greenhouse is one of the better places to get weed for sure. I don't think I've ever met so many different europeans in one coffeeshop at the same time when I was there last, and the bar maids were very pretty too which is always nice to see, Abraxas has pretty bar maids as well. They must have to put up with so much crap from tourists like me trying to chat them up.
There's one coffee shop on Haarlemerstraat (unfortunately can't remember the name) that serves excellent breakfast (mmm pancakes!), the atmosphere is great and the place is decorated in a very funky jungle kinda style. So that's great for food! Rokerij on Singel is my ultimate favourite when it comes to coffeeshops, it's small and cozy and the music is good. Rastababy is pretty good too and that's only across the street. Resin on Damrak has some killer hash, but it's not the coziest place to hang out.
My favorites must be, Hill Street Blues, Blues Brothers, Grey Area... and so many more.... vondel park.... Schipol Airport always nice to land there, always tear in the eye to depart from...
I sure is one of the greatest airports around. It's a good place to have a layover because (like Heathrow) there's so much to do there. You can shop or drink, or shop and drink! Take a quick 20 minute train ride to central station and a bag of weed is a few euros away!
