So I just got together with this guy and he's amazing, the only thing is that his ex girlfriend is having their baby in April. It doesn't bother me that much but at the same time I dont know if I wanna be in this situation. I mean, wut happens if they decide to get back together when the baby is born or what? I mean, I dunno. I need some kind of advice. Or even advice as to how I should approach talking to him about it..I don't know :(

Just ask him about where he sees you fitting into the relationship...you need to know where his mind is at.

I've actually never met his ex. And I'm honestly not sure if I want to. I think it'd be too weird. But I don't know. I think I'll talk to him tonight...see whats what.

Does he plan on being part of his baby's life? If not, he's a piece of shit anyway and you shouldn't get in with him. If he does, are you willing to deal with that kind of thing? He still does have to have full communication with his baby's mama until the child is 18 years old. They have to share holidays, birthdays (Of the child), I'm sure they're going to see each other more than a few times a year. There are school functions (when that time comes) and whatnot.
You just have to decide if you're mentally ready to deal with all that.

Yeah he does plan on being there. Hell he plans on being there when the baby is born. He's definately excited about it, when i went to his house last night he showed me the ultrasound picture he got. And I've been thinking about it and if I like him, want to be with him then that means i gotta be there through it all right? I mean, it might be a little weird at first, but I can handle the contact with his ex, the kid stuff. I think i can do it! lol At least I hope i can.

be aware there's a greater possibility of him wanting to go back to his ex when he has a kid with her.

Personally, I would steer clear of him but that's JMO. Sounds like trouble...

he left her ..while she was pregnant.. so he wants to be there for the baby..thats good..but..why did he leave the momma when she was carrying his child?
u might just get a child of your own & be left too..i know guys with kids by 6 or 7 women..that are there..sorta..for the kids..meanning at least demanding rights to see em..but still just bouncin from 1 girl to anouther & leavin a trail of hungry mouths behind em
not sayin hes that way..bjt there are alotta guys like that out there
so i really suggest u find out why theyre not togethrr and exactly what he wants and what he means by being there for the kid ..and is he even matue and responcible enough to know what he wants and make good decisions

also if you are going to stay with this guy then meeting his ex at some point is going to happen, i mean she is you guys babys momma, whether its while she's dropping the babe off for the weekend or whatever. but your better off meeting her sooner rather than later & trying to make friends with her & i can only see that as a positive for the relationship.

    AGREED!

i think that you really need to talk about this to him so that he may understand how you feel and that he would know his limits.
