    What I'm thankful for...

Being that it is Thanksgiving (yeah, I'm up making pies) I figured I'd take a moment and think about what I am truely thankful for... here goes.

I'm thankful that I wake up breathing every morning. If I wake up in this condition (being alive) it must be a good day, or at least a great start.

I'm thankful for my husband. I know I am lucky to have found someone who loves me through everything. Ups and downs, happy and sad/bitchy... ok lets face it psycho moments. I know I am lucky to find someone who loves me like he does and love them back the same way. I'm lucky I KNOW this and am THANKFUL for it, too many people take for granted how truely wonderful love is, even on the bad days.

I'm thankful for my family and friends... they are the ones who have always been there for me and always will be. Who no matter how long it's been, I can still pick up the phone or write a letter and it's like not a day has passed. The ones I can tell anything to and know that every word is safe. The ones who know when I'm sick or have a headache just by looking at my face. The ones who can tell if I am smiling over the phone, and the ones who know if I've been crying and know just what to say to get me through that tough moment.

I'm thankful for my pets, that I have a chance to care for, protect and love another living creature and receive their unconditional love and devotion in return.

I'm thankful that I have a roof over my head, food in my cabinets, and a place to lay my head down at night. I'm thankful for this but also saddened and humbled to know that not everyone in the world can say the same.

I'm thankful that I have a job... no, I may not like it everyday, but at least I have a job and an income to help support me and my little family.

I am thankful for the ability to have my own thoughts and feelings. More so, I am thankful that I have the right to express my thoughts and feelings freely.

I am thankful that I have the right to choose. No one can force me to do anything I don't want to do, and I have the freedom to do what I feel is right for me.

I am thankful that I have extra comforts in my life, things I don't NEED, but have just the same. I look around and know that if I had to, I could live without these comforts, which makes me even more grateful to have them.

I am thankful for my health and my ability to maintain it. I do not take for granted the greatness of health insurance and a choice of who my doctor is.

I am thankful that I have five senses. I can see a sunrise, sunset or a piece of artwork. I can hear music, the beautiful sounds of nature and someone I love telling me that they love me. I can taste food, even if it's bad. I can smell the wonderful scents of the world. And feel I can feel many things, my husbands lips, my soft kittys fur, and all the other textures of the world are at my fingertips. To go on further, I'm thankful that I can speak. I am glad that I can communicate easily every day just by opening my mouth and making sounds that others can understand.

I'm thankful for so many things in my life it would be impossible to list them all, but sometimes it is nice to try, to just sit and really think about what you have in your life that you are just truely grateful to have and don't want to take for granted.

I thoroughly enjoyed your Thankfest, and it was so complete, thoughtfull, and elegantly composed, I will just add that I was thoroughly inspired to take inventory of all that I have to be truly and profoundly THANKFUL for. Thank you !

I'm thankful that my dad survived his heart attack and is now trying to take care of himself.

I'm thankful that my mom is talking to me again, even though sometimes I wish she still wasn't. (lol, she drives me crazy.)

I'm thankful I have a wonderful, supportive boyfriend, even if he can't be around all the time.

I'm thankful my daughter is healthy, and for the most part, happy.

I'm thankful my brother sent me a cd with pictures of my daughter, and some books I hadn't read yet. (1 down 2 to go!)

I'm thankful of the family I have in this town, they help me out more than they know sometimes.

I'm thankful I got my transfer at work, because had I not, I would have had to quit, and then I'd be very, very poor.

What beautiful posts, everyone. Inspired me to list my blessings, in no particular order.

I'm thankful for a son who makes me laugh every day, and hugs me a lot.

I'm thankful for my new home (which is really an old home that I've wanted to buy for 20 years)

I'm thankful for my job, which provides all those wonderful creature comforts that are so easy to take for granted.

I'm thankful for a large, loving family.

I'm especially thankful that the universe guided me to my soulmate 11 years ago, I thought I'd look forever, and then...there he was, like a candle in the darkness.

I'm thankful for this website, I do enjoy it so much.

    Happy Thanksgiving to all

Aw this is a great thread! And even though it's not Thanksgiving anymore...

I'm thankful for my boyfriend, who even when we were having a rough time in our relationship helped me through the other tough things that were going on in my life, and was able to put us aside to make sure I was alright, physically and mentally.

I'm thankful for the fact that now that I'm going through physical threapy, my health is so much better. My back is straight and I can walk better, and it's getting less painful every day. Also for the fact that after my period being horrible for about 5 years straight, I finally settled on a pill and it's just made me more healthy in general, and fixed my period.

I'm thankful for the fact that I have 12 instruments sitting in my room that I play every day.

I'm thankful for my friends/family, who have seen me through a lot of problems throughout my life, but have not judged or dumped me when things got rough. If I didn't have them, I'd be crazy by now...

I'm thankful for the fact that I can still march, and look forward to the last few years of my marching career as they approach, this has been one of the most specail things in my life that was almost taken away by a bad back.

I'm thankful for every little thing I take for granted, my computer, my art supplies which I dont' pay for, my instruments, my friend's stability, and everything else...

I'm thankful to be alive. As long as I'm alive, there's always hope. There's always new people and new chances in the world, and it's all out there for me to find...
