I love South Park, I'm a massive Trey Parker and Matt Stone fan. To be honest I find South Park a little hit and miss sometimes, but then it's been going ten years ... when you watch some of the old episodes you wonder what inspired them. As topical satire it sometimes hits the nail on the head though, and behind all the bad taste humour there's a real piercingly intelligent satirical mind at work. And "South Park The Movie" is arguably the best film comedy ever made and probably my favourite musical.

The new series of South Park is currently airing in the states and is widely available on a bit torrent site near you...

What are your opinions on Parker and Stone?

A fair enough send off for the nutjob Scientologist he was. I used to watch South Park religiously, but got a bit bored of it after season 3 and the movie. I don't think it has the same level of flexibility or creative genius as the Simpsons or Futurama, but I would say some of their satire is pretty intelligent. Always quite liked Parker and Stone's work, and Team America was hilarious. Have you seen Cannibal?

Their true talent lies in the comedy songwriting imho, but South Park is too original and silly for me to dislike it, even if it isn't always that funny.

Totally agree - South Park: The Movie is one of the greatest musical films ever made, and probably the best musical comedy. Team America has some fantastic songs. Cannibal: The Musical somewhat less so, but you can see the germs of Parker's talent in it!

Ooh, currently watching "That's My Bush" ... their little-known venture into sitcom set in the White House with George W Bush as the main character. It was cancelled shortly after 9/11 for some reason:confused::D
