    MAMA'S FIRE

Sittin by the fire with mum and her dad
The warmth it makes me feel so glad
That I got these peoples and these times to lie
By the fire, just whiling the hours away

Time just passes on by for me
Sittin here with nothing to see
    Sittin here with my family
    Just sittin letting things be

Mama brings a pot of tea from the kitchen
The bearskin rug my leg is itchin'
But as the liquid warms my heart says
That this is somewhere I can always stay

Time just passes on by for me
Sittin here with nothing to see
    Sittin here with my family
    Sittin just letting things be

Cloud covers up all the twinkling stars
As I climb to bed, I wonder where you are
And when mama tucks me in, I'm happy I'm doing the right thing
Cos I know you're mama'll be doing the same thing

Another little song I wrote. Any comments?
