"There is a Native American prophecy which states that when the planet of 'healing' is discovered in the sky, this is when the sacred warrior teachings will return to earth. Just recently I heard a Yacqi shaman speak: "Imagine if you will, it is pre-dawn and the sun is about to rise on the beach, and some people have awakened early to see the pre-dawn light. The rest of the people are still sleeping on the beach, and those who woke up early have a "sacred responsibility" to help other people as they begin to wake up, and to know what sunrise is all about."

Astrologers often call Chiron, a planetoid orbiting the outer realms of our Solar System, the Wounded Healer. This celestial body takes its name from a Centaur from Greek mythology who, after being abandoned by his parents, matured into a wise and giving healer and teacher. Because Zeus, god of all of the gods, was his father, Chiron was immortal. When beset upon by great pain from a poison arrow, Chiron prayed to the gods to let him die. His wish was granted. In his life, he overcame personal issues and used the lessons learned to help and heal others. Coinciding with Chiron's discovery in 1977 was a surge of interest in New Age healing and holistic therapies; Chiron became a natural symbol for healing through pain that has been borne. A more recent example of a Chironic influence would be celebrities or athletes who use their personal tribulations to raise awareness -- like Christopher Reeve with his work toward a cure for paralysis or Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong's fundraising efforts for cancer research. On a personal level, the greatest pain or burden one bears -- usually in childhood -- and eventually overcomes is the source of great wisdom and healing power for others. Where Chiron finds itself in your chart is an indication of lessons you must learn and the lessons you may one day be able to teach.

    here are a few interpretations.
the problem i have with most is that the primarily focus on only one aspect of chiron so i will try to find you a suitable one without all the negative.

it is important to consider taurus's elements and modes
it is an earth fixed sign. prone to ingrained habits, fixation and stubborness, as well as moderation, determination, and sense of purpose. consider the earth element and discriptions of the fixed signs.

also taurus is ruled by the planet venus so think of taurean/ venusian stage where chiron the healer is the actor. this is one way an earlier astrology book tells us to think about it. read an online discription of the planet venus. venus as ruler of taurus produces a sign of a sensual artistic nature. musically inclined etc. chiron was a teacher of the arts and music as well. Some astrologers think that Chiron has an affinity for the sign of Virgo because, in Greek mythology, Chiron was a healer. Well Virgo doesn't rule healing. Scorpio does. According to legend, Chiron also taught the martial arts.

    CHIRON

Chiron is the wounded healer. This Planetoid is for everyone who, rather than giving in to despair amid their own suffering, reaches out so others will not have to experience the pain they've felt. Many people who have had a painful childhood grow up to be psychiatrists or therapists so that they can help other people get through the same things that hurt them. Parents who have lost children to drunk drivers go on to form support groups so that other parents know they are not alone. These people feel the influence of charitable Chiron. It can be healing for a person to help others cope with a pain that they themselves have lived through.

Chiron is here to help us evolve and spread our wings, to make us realize we are all part of the whole as well as an individual self with sovereignty and autonomy. We are at the point in our evolution where we must comprehend humanity as an ocean of spiritual individuals without losing our identity. This is not a new idea even though we have not been able to comprehend it before. Spirit is the intangible space which forms matter according to its ability to make use of consciousness. Saturn wants boundaries to maintain individuality and tangible identity while Uranus wants to break through these walls to freedom and an expanded universe. Chiron encompasses both of them, indicating that we do not loose our identity or our freedom in a wider context. It gives access to ways out and beyond whatever the body it transits represents. It enlarges your options by pointing in directions you have been unable to recognize without also cutting you off completely from where you have been and whatever security you feel is necessary to your survival.

This may vary with different individuals and different times. It is related to time in ways that also makes time irrelevant when it would otherwise be limiting. It increases our ability to exercise some control over forces moving either toward or away with scientific knowledge and hidden power even though the scientific knowledge has not been scientifically checked out but is nevertheless verifiable. Chiron is here to make us more aware of the part "the other" plays in our lives.

CHIRON IN TAURUS / 2ND HOUSE

If Chiron falls in Taurus in your chart, you bear a pain of neglect or that what you have is never enough. This Chironic placement makes a person who -- because of a wound of neglect (perhaps your parents were stingy with affection or even completely closed off from you) or actual physical hunger -- bears a mental or physical pain that weakens the spirit and body. At the heart of Taurus is a yearning for security and the pleasure of sensory stimulation: food, physical affection, bodily nourishment. Taurus loves to indulge, but with Chiron in Taurus, you're never quite full; as your stomach can feel empty, so too can your heart. Rather than wallowing in the haze of your hunger for what you lack, Chiron in Taurus encourages you to appreciate what you have. By cherishing gifts you already possess, you can share what you've learned from your pain with others. Give your time to causes dealing with a lack of resources: homelessness, hunger, neglected children, or for those wanting for affection or sensory or material comfort.

Chiron has a tendency to shake Taurus up considerably, especially with what Taurus is most interested in: security in the form of both liquid and more permanent assets as well as earthly beauty and pleasures. If left to its own devices, Taurus can be happily situated in what has all the appearances of being some kind of rut. Chiron at the very least makes the rut uncomfortable. Of course, comfort is also a primary necessity for Taurus. Chiron is helpful in accumulating what makes Taurus happy, especially if it has the characteristic of being some kind of hodge podge. Chiron can be both illuminating and humiliating to Taurus. It will open the door to travel which is not a priority to Taurus normally. It improves Taurus' healing abilities as well as increasing sexual magnetism. Chiron can find peculiar traps particularly with banking procedures. During the last transit through Taurus, Chiron was leaving Uranus' orbit and heading back to cross into Saturn's orbit. Those who have Chiron here will be less like the more traditional descriptions of Taurus. They will cut a path of their own making rather than follow any set of guidelines which follow accepted practices. There is a relationship with Venus, which traditionally rules Libra, challenging as well as supporting only part of what Venus continues to do for Taurus. These two signs quincunx which accounts for two very distinctly different points of view while still sharing much on the surface. They may come to blows when you get down to the details..

Chiron in the 2nd house: Chiron teaches and gives advise. The 2nd house is money, possessions, and values. You can show other people how to take care of their money better than you take care of your own. In fact, your own finances could be a mess. Sometimes, this placement can make for a miser, but the money collected never brings any pleasure or get rid of the inner fear that there will be no resources. Most likely, this is because the person has a low sense of self-worth and feels that they don't really deserve any money or possessions. In other cases, they may squander or give away what they have for the same reason. It is important to remember that if there are problems with money or possessions, that these are most likely not the real issue. The sense of self-worth is the key here.

Chiron in Taurus: Taurus is the sign of money and resources and it shows our ability to possess things. It also shows what we instinctively value, including ourselves. This is the sign that gives us our gut level sense of self-worth. Chiron here can give us a miser's urge to hold on to every penny while denying ourselves any of life's pleasures, or a rejection of "those low, materialistic values" and, consequently, a life of poverty. And guess what? Deep down inside, both are the same. They both deny themselves pleasure and enjoyment because they don't value themselves. Of course, as always with Chiron, there is the ability to give good advise to everyone else concerning their material needs and sense of self worth. People with Chiron in Taurus have to learn how to enjoy the basic physical pleasures of life. They won't be able to do this, however, until they deal with their damaged sense of self-worth.
