Flares

I used to wear flares quite a lot when I was a teenager. Really big, overstated hippy flares. Does anyone here wear them now, or did you used to wear them? I kind of miss wearing them. They were comfortable and looked a lot cooler than the jeans I more often wear now. May get myself another pair at some point....

 

I wear them I have a pair of green courduroy (spelling!) bellbottoms that I wear from time to time... When I was a little thinner they looked amazing, but I still think they look really good! I really love them, and they're nice and warm in the winter... And they look good with damn near anything...

 

You can get some flares from cult clothing, except they are a bit wider on the top of the thigh!!! There are denium, really comftable to wear and baggy!!! Name of the trousers begins with a c!!!!!!

 

I used to wear them. I wear drainpipes now, or bootcuts.

 

I have some and it's amazing where you can get them from without having to go to a specialist store. Back in the day we took what were called "drain pipes", split them up the seem and added a piece of fabric or patchwork from the knee down. It's easy to do and quite authentic, believe me!!

 

We used to call them bell bottoms I think!!!

 

hm ive had some...got some denim ones i wear sometimes and had the most fabulous pair of rainbow cord ones (claire - stardust) had some too...they were shit hot till i put em in the washing machine and they lost most of their colour..now they also lost the button and the zip is broken. theyve also been set on fire while camping when i got a little close to the fire - whoops. forgot i had them, think theyre at me mams. wish i had the body shape for drainpipes....i need the flare/bell cut to balance out my thighs :tongue:

Yeah that's the one. Also had some home made drain pipes too. Don't want anything that fancy again. But might buy some trousers with small flares in....

 

I used to wear flares as a kid ,and high heeled boots with stars on the side have the boots in my attic

 

You used to wear women's clothes too....

 

Yep when I ws 18 or so, plain denim though over boots. Don't think I would wear them again. Those stripey ones seen on the young ladies as above and elsewhere I do think look rather fethcing.
