drunken munchies > drunken monkeys most def. Actually, anything drunken > anything sober few exceptions exist.
I love getting wasted on my parents bill... Which is pretty much every meal I eat with them. Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, sometimes my birthday.
My mom is anti-weed, and anti-me drinking. Though she'll break down and get me something if a party rolls around... My dad is more "I'd rather you smoke weed than drink." But I'd rather drink.
My parents think I'm straightedge. I don't know how, my old friend got caught toking at school and claimed it was all my stuff. But I had nothing on me, so the school only called my mom and was like "heyyyy, we think your daughter does drugs." And I pretty much stumble home every weekend, proceed to raid the kitchen and then I usually pass out in some odd place. This weekend was next to the rabbit cage. I think i was saying goodnight to it. I'm thinking she's in denial.
Haha... though it was interesting when your mom got those brownies from the Hot Box Cafe. You live almost two years longer if you smoke marijuana. This was the result of the most extensive research ever done (from 1968 to 1974). It was a $6,000,000 study done by Dr. Vera Ruben in Jamaica and Costa Rica. Today that same research would cost $150,000,000. If you smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, you will lose approximately 8-24 years off your life. If you don’t smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol you will live (in the U.S.) until about 76 for a man and 78 for a woman. But if you smoke marijuana and don’t smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol, you live about two years longer than that. When this study came out in 1974, Nixon and then Ford dropped the most expensive research ever done on anything whatsoever and started the war on drugs. No more research of any type could be done on marijuana to prove the positive effects, only negative effects, from 1984 to now.
I'd believe you lose years off your life if you smoke and drink... but.. how does weed make you live longer?
Reverses symptoms of Alzheimers... there's also some positive correlation to cancer, lotsa things. It doesn't penetrate the lungs like tobacco and doesn't have all the damaging chemicals. It also reduces blood pressure, whereas nicotine, as a stimulant (and what I would classify as a hard drug) constricts blood pressure--cannabis does the opposite. Alcohol, of course, causes Cirrhosis and the deterioration of the liver, etc. as a CNS depressant, slows down thought process, and you know the rest. It's just that people view it from a different side of the fence since the Nixon and Ford administrations. It's sort of like wanting to be remembered for the positive things you do in life that outweigh the negative... most analyzations these days are either underfunded or biased. I'm not saying you should or shouldn't do anything, I'm just saying most people don't really know what they're looking at/doing to themselves.
