Thanks for the info about the webevent, nimh! :) Too bad I will be hard at work, but it sounds like a great idea.

My favorite is still The Alchemist, but I have to say that The Pilgrimage is a close second.

I have never been a big Coelho fan. He mixes up contradictory religious elements from different sectors into one extremely idealistic philosophy. His books read like philosophy for children, it is so easy to comprehend and so out there... plus, the magical surrealism is very weak compared to other writers.

i didn`t have the oportunity to read Pilgrimage of Compostel because it hadn`t been translated in romanian and there`s another book that isn`t translated in romanian. From the other books,i began with the alchemist, of course, but my fav is the 5th mountain...It can`t be copared with Coelho`s last books, i think.I liked the fact that it made me think again about some simple trues of life...now i think he is just like Dan Brown, for example. It became just a bussines..

you`re right. There`s nothing new, it`s forgotten, ignored.I enjoyed the most "The 5th mountain"("Al cincilea munte", in romanian). You should read it, too...

I've only read "The Alchemist" ...unfortunately, because it's his most popular and I'm sure he has some other amazing work. I want to get into some more of his stuff...it's hard deciding which book to read next though!
