I love books of Paulo Coehlo. He is the best writer for me ever. The best of him is:Alkimist and I was down the river Piedra and I cried(I don't know the translation):&
hey i lurve THE ALCHEMIST that book its awsome its so inspiring it really made me tink bout things differently. let me know if u hav read any other books like it coz i wanna read more.
i read almost everything from him.very good is "Na margem do Rio Piedra eu sentei e chorei".this is the original title,i don't know the translation in english. have a nice evening
I know the alchemist is prolly one of his best.. But.. My fav is The Pilgrimage of Compostel.. Whats yours?
Ive only read the alchemist which was so good I bought it, but I plan to start reading more of his works.
fans of coelho might want to know that there's an online thingy with him tomorrow... clicka the pic to go register
Thanks for the info about the webevent, nimh! Too bad I will be hard at work, but it sounds like a great idea. My favorite is still The Alchemist, but I have to say that The Pilgrimage is a close second.
Yeah the Alchemist is is beautiful but I also really enjoyed the Devil and Miss Prim. Eleven Minutes was amazing too.
I have never been a big Coelho fan. He mixes up contradictory religious elements from different sectors into one extremely idealistic philosophy. His books read like philosophy for children, it is so easy to comprehend and so out there... plus, the magical surrealism is very weak compared to other writers.
i didn`t have the oportunity to read Pilgrimage of Compostel because it hadn`t been translated in romanian and there`s another book that isn`t translated in romanian. From the other books,i began with the alchemist, of course, but my fav is the 5th mountain...It can`t be copared with Coelho`s last books, i think.I liked the fact that it made me think again about some simple trues of life...now i think he is just like Dan Brown, for example. It became just a bussines..
you`re right. There`s nothing new, it`s forgotten, ignored.I enjoyed the most "The 5th mountain"("Al cincilea munte", in romanian). You should read it, too...
I've only read "The Alchemist" ...unfortunately, because it's his most popular and I'm sure he has some other amazing work. I want to get into some more of his stuff...it's hard deciding which book to read next though!
i've read the alchemist and veronika currently reading the devil and miss prym i'd say i enjoyed the otherr 2 more thanthis but you never know
