The Yuengling black and tan isn't that good..... in my opinion. The lager is their best (also in my opinion).

Yeah, Yuengling has a black and tan. It's probably their most popular after the lager.

Yeah, they have a black and tan. It's crap.

I like black and tans that are harp and guiness. Yummy.

Well, it would need to be an ale (ie: Lord Chesterfield), since a black and tan is an ale + stout. The lager wouldn't work.

Bass Ale, Harp Lager- both are used for black and tans... so both work....

Oh okay... according to wiki... "Sometimes a pale lager is used instead of ale; this is more usually called a half and half."---- Practically same thing though.

I know. A lager will suffice in most cases, but a TRUE black and tan always uses an ale.... I don't care what Wikipedia says. :p

A half and half and black and tan, to most beer aficionados, are two different things. Similar, but not the same.

So with Bass its a black and tan and with Harp its a half and half?

The two beers taste so similar that the distinction seems silly but I'm not a great beer critic or what not so whatever ;)
